Would you let your child go busking in the street? I know a 16 year old who does this, not sure whether i think its good or not and is it legal even?

It is legal, but you have to have a license for the specific council to which you're in.Married the lovely Mr P 28th April 2012. Little P born 29th Jan 20140

Tell him/her to get a fat ginger cat to accompany them. They'll make a lot more money and could potentially lead to a book deal and paid TV appearances.0

Don't know in all honesty. I think so. I think it's basically so towns/ Cities arent over run with people on every corner. Then the council feel they've got some sort of hold over them too, ie can take it away from them. I heard of one guy in Leeds getting banged up overnight for begging as he didnt have one!Married the lovely Mr P 28th April 2012. Little P born 29th Jan 20140

Good for them. At 16 you can work, get married and join the army, why not busking, as long as they are doing it safely and within the law.0

Depends where it is and at what time of day.
In a dark subway at midnight - no.
In a shopping centre/high street in the daytime - yes.
It doesn't matter if he's not very good, as long as he's doing it because he enjoys it and is not being forced by anyone, good luck to him, many 16yo's wouldn't have the balls to even try.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

It seems to be the age which concerns you. Why ever not? So long as it's somewhere safe!
I think kids are too wrapped up in cotton wool these days. At least the 16 year old you know is doing something other than sitting in front of a screen in his/her bedroom.. . .I did not speak out
Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me..
