    thank you

    Debbie
There is a referral thread down in the referrals forum, best to use that!
  • Sorry folks I am probably being a bit thick here but will payments be paid into any business bank account? Or are there further hidden costs of a merchant account being required?

    Thanks
  • I tried it call the 24/7 help line on the World Pay Zinc page before posting on this forum to find that
yes you've guessed it, it is not 24/7 !!

You get paid straight into the bank. The 2.75% fee covers all usual costs, so debit cards and credit cards (MC and Visa, not Amex) are charged at a flat rate. This is extremely good value for smaller deposits. You do need a bank account to pay into and they do do due diligence on who they accept (although of the applications I know about the only refusals have been flaky people we'd all turn down anyway!)

    If you refund, it's a 75p charge.

Did you call the 0845 presales number or the 0330 merchant one?
  • Thank you for the info. I just wondered why it referred to a merchant account in the blurb. I'm in the process of getting rid of my chip and pin machine on contract and streamline account which together cost about £40/ month as I only use the machine for a few weeks per year and up until now I thought you could only have this sort of facility with a merchant account ( although I think PayPal have a chip and pin machine now )

I called the 0330 number which seemed to indicate 24/7 help but will confess to post late night bleary eyes

If you're yet to sign up, read the following page to get the pin pad for £29.99 and rates at 1.95% mean to be after you've got one of these government backed startup loans, but I used the code to get it a couple of weeks ago and got the pad for £29.99 and the lower fees
