Meter reading

EDF will not accept my meter readings unless I send a picture of the meter reading and meter number in Jpeg format.

The meter was read week ago by an official meter reader.

I am hoping that someone will tell me if Edf can force me to do this?

Thanks

If it was read by an agent, why do they need another reading? Was the agent read incorrect? They can't force you to do anything, but it would be very simple to take a pic on your phone and email it to them.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

    Thank you for responding.

They say my reading does not match the information that they have.

I sent a Jpeg picture like I was asked to but was then told they couldn't open it and was asked to send in another format. I don't have sufficient knowledge to do this.

I have asked for a senior employee to look into the problem but want to be aware of any things I should be looking out for because I know that Edf can be quite dodgy to deal with. I do not want to be at fault.

So what format have they asked you to send it in this time?

Plenty of free pdf creation software available on the 'net. Have you tried googling for some?

Or there are even online free converters

    You think so?

From the link, select the image file you want to convert, click convert and download the resulting pdf file.

    Simples!

I believe that EDF are one of the most responsible and respected energy suppliers that insist on weekly unsolicited calls to your home. We also get regular two monthly visits from EDF cold callers that are so insistent that there product and service is better than any other energy company that I don't really know how I can refuse their wonderful sales techniques. Joking aside have you thought of looking for a different supplier as EDF would be the last company that I would put my business with. I'm sure there will be many satisfied customers but one of them I will never be.
