  • You say that you have a case but haven't produced a shread of evidence to support this. You are just coming across as a chancer hoping to get lucky.

Are you saying that everyone else trying to get PPI money back is genuine ?
  • I don't expect anything, however, if the FOS had said 'no chance' then I would have accepted that answer.
The person you spoke to will not know.
I appreciate that Natwest might go along the lines of making an offer to avoid a fine as you have said.
It is not a "fine", it is a fee.
    We shall see what happens.
Typically, where there is no evidence that a policy ever existed, FOS dismisses it as "frivolous and vexatious" without even considering the merits of the complaint.

That leaves the complainant open to a counter claim for costs from respondent firm through the courts.

So far, firms have chosen only to take on ambulance chasers in this way but there is no reason why they would not be able to pursue direct complaints as well.

Many thanks for your help and it is interesting you say that you are only just hearing back from the FOS after sixteen months !

Still, I guess waiting costs nothing.

I have been waiting 20 months to hear back, the claim is 100 % legit with all the documents they need, the problem I have is claims like this holding up the procedure, the average wait I understand now is TWO YEARS.

How on earth you claim can be classed as worthwhile, or even honest I don't know, you have no evidence whatsoever, come on give it up:A

    Send a letter to :-

    Nat West
    2nd floor- Business House B
    PO Box 1000
    Edinburgh
    EH12 1HQ
    Att: Joyce E Tudor

In your covering letter suggest in order to help locate the old statements
    the following codes might help:-

Back Office 04,26,45 option 1 or 2 is the search bit
    Your full name
    D.O.B.
    Post Code
    Credit Card No

Using this info i was able in 2007 to obtain all my statements going back
to 1985. Then issued a large claim for bank charges/ legal proceedings which were stayed and the rest is history.

Don't know if this will now work but worth a try.

p.s. this info was obtained from a Nat West whistleblower.
