Passport expiry for travel to Europe

Hi, we travel to France on 26th August and back to the UK on 7th September and have just noticed my passport expires on the 22nd of September
I've tried researching online whether I will still be able to travel with less than a month left on my passport but can't find a definite answer...
Can anyone clarify please?
Thank you!

Found this:

Entry requirements
Passport validity
For stays of up to 3 months your passport should be valid for the proposed duration of your stay; you don’t need any additional period of validity on your passport beyond this. For stays of longer than 3 months, contact the French Embassy for further information about entry requirements.0 -
As long as you're not out of the country WHEN your passport expires you'll be fine, just because it's close to expiring shouldn't make a difference. Surely that's like saying you can't drive your car when you have a week left on your road tax? If it's still in date there shouldn't be a problem0

I had read that you need a month left on your passport for travel to some countries and wasn't 100% sure if that included in the EU. The passport office info is not really clear so thought I would ask for advice.0

Some countries do insist on a passport being valid for a period after your proposed departure.
It can be up to 6 months for some countries.0 -
Well you learn something new every day!
Anyways, if you are unsure check out https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/hm-passport-office
There's a telephone number at the bottom of the page, I would just call them direct as the information they give will probably be a lot more accurate than what we can give you0 -
But in this case we're talking France.
It's a valid question. It doesn't matter where it is - if someone is aware that other countries have different requirements then you should certainly act on the assumption that it'll be a problem until you prove otherwise.
You cannot, in this day and age, assume that everything would be ok. Immigration rules change on a daily basis.
You only need to look at the shenanigans in Gibraltar at the minute to see that in action.0 -
