New Insurance Scam: flash for cash.

Well unless you have insider knowledge I suggest you stop throwing accusations around to different nationalities.
I would imagine you'd need to have very good knowledge and experience working in the insurane industry to set up a claims commpany in the UK and carry out these scams. I doubt some "Eastern Europeans" would manage to get something like that set up here without a lot of local insider knowledge.
You clearly have more faith in the honesty of British businesses. The fact is the legitimate claims companies are just as bad, they'll rip off insurance companies charging £120 a day for car hire that costs £20. They'll charge £80 a day for storage for leaving a car parked in their virtually empty car lot.
Let's not give insurance companies a clean break either. They're making monumental amount of profits and increase year in year out and blame increase on anything but their shareholders. They'll crawl all over a car lookijg for any alterations to a car to void a claim and withdraw cover just to save some money after an accident occured but they rarely ask for pictures of a car before issuing cover.0 -
I have no idea what beliefs you have - you'll see that through this discussion I was more than willing to concede that prejudiced may be more accurate than racist.
I've told you, I believe in fair justice for all, regardless of origin or skin colour.
Certain groups are able to claim false identities and surround themselves with a wall of silence and this is what allows these crimes to happen.
I can't do that, you can't to do that, if we could all do that, how much more crime would there be?“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

I can honestly say that I have no idea what you are on about - 'certain groups able to claim false identities......'
As you yourself mentioned this has drifted off topic so I'm leaving it there. Suffice to say that Crash for cash and Flash for cash schemes are deplorable no matter who the perpetrators are.
Let us not throw generalisations around on who they might be though eh - real identiies or otherwise!0 -

The insurers making monumental profits certainly isn't the official line - in fact they have been losing money in motor insurance for about the last 8 years.
As for Ethnicity... The IFB have quoted that a disproportionate amount of Eastern Europeans are involved in car insurance scams.0 -
It occurred to me yesterday evening, there's a less obvious way this can be done.......
Both cars on the same road, car A turning right, car B coming in the other direction, car B flashes, car A moves off, car B slams into the passenger side.
Possibly add into the mix a third car tailgating car A to put some pressure on and distract them slightly. Sure it'd mean they had to watch and target you specifically, but it wouldn't be hard to pull off.
The media tend to focus on one particular situation where this can happen, but I think it's important to remember this could happen in almost any situation where a driver might flash to apparently allow you priority.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
