still waiting for the washing machine man...

Mine came yesterday. The concrete block on top had become dislodged resulting in the racket. All mended now.

WM on 6th load. It's very warm and sunny do its drying quickly. DH has gone to see his ear consultant. This is the man who is always on holiday. DH has to see him specifically as his ear problem is rare.

I've made DS3 and DD2 try on their school stuff. They both still fit so that's dosh I can save.

Very tired now, a side effect of getting up at 4.30.
  • How did you get on Honey Bear ?

    I managed to
Declutter the bathroom of a bag of toilet roll tubes and empty bottles.
Pile of washing put in the utility room
Cleaned bath, basin, toilet and mirror
Returned all potions, lotions et cetera to the cabinet.

Just needs the floor doing now but I've stopped for a coffee if anyone wants one the kettle is just boiled.

Tomorrow I have two companies sending an assessor to look at our heating system and giving me a quote for something that works. It also has to be easy for me to manage so no log burners!!

It means I have to have the rooms cleared so they can measure and also get to the radiators. I am going to take some extra strong pain killers and get on with it. I will come back and cross off as jobs done. Tomorrow I won't be fit for anything but needs must :D

All yesterday's jobs achieved apart from the bossing DSS into vacuuming -- I was prepared for teatime retaliation by not cooking him anything but he left for a sleepover at 6  He'll be back in an hour and will let rip then. Uniform cost £160 in the end :(

Paid work for 3 hours this morning, mainly spent cleaning Venetian blinds. Lost the will to live about 10 minutes in, repeating my "think of the money" mantra scraped me through.

When I was out, OH made a start on painting the girls room. Despite me telling him 125,000 times and even making him put a note in his phone, he has ballsed up the colours and put the darkest paint on the biggest wall  their room is small enough and will look like an understairs cupboard at this rate. Deep breaths.

Scrubbed kitchen again and did a pile of washing up that could've caused the work surface to collapse, it was so large. My contribution to the pile? One cup.

Moanmoanmoan -- can you tell I'm feeling overworked and under appreciated?!

Off out this afternoon to visit a friend -- she is an artist and has done a portrait of me and DS2 having a cuddle :) That should put a smile on my miserable face!

Small changes in behaviour lead to big changes in life. I'm told.

So, as of the start of my HH with FFP I made the decision to remove my chair from in front of the desk. It's only back now because I am on a 30 min lunch break - and I've set the oven alarm to make me remove my butt from this oh-so-comfortable chair at the end of the time.

    In my HH I:
    * pegged out the second load of washing,
    * cleared the lodger's fridge of my overflow,
    * started the process of defrosting the kitchen fridge and emptied it,
    * made two Frog phone calls
    * checked the bank account wasn't overdrawn (standing up!)
    * started work on the pile of film gibble on the landing
    * filed two things. I'm going to make myself file two things every time I come into the office. That'll help putting paid to thinking the office is a nice place to be.

So, thank you, Fun Fair Princess. That got me moving again. I'll be joining you PoohBear. If I stop now, I'll be done for the day and I can't stand the clutter any more. (OH is due back tomorrow and that'll be the end of getting a clear run at things.)
    Better is good enough.

It's a Half Hour Challenge - seeing how much of whatever job needs doing most you can get done in half an hour.:o There are also: HHI - Half Hour Ironing, HHE - Exercise, HHG - Gardening, and I believe I've even seen HHP - Paperwork; and for those of us in dodgy health and not up to doing a half hour, I sometimes go for a QHC - a Quarter Hour Challenge.:o Posting on the thread and getting someone else to join in helps morale-wise.;)

ETA: HB here's hoping Mrs Dog doesn't need Tramadol any more. Patsy and Pandy send her a doggy cuddle.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Running to catch pooh and honey bear I will start by cleaning the LR mirror as its getting on my nerves!
