  • I would say turkey or egypt

with kids then you cant be Olu Denize /Fethyie area of Turkey is fabulous Its safe very friendly plenty to do and the location is where the famous Blue Lagon is which is always on the front pages of most brochures for Turkey

Depending on your budget then you can get some fantastic hotels Hillside Beach club is amazing and the Letonia in Fethyie is fabulous
(rooms aren't much in the Letonia but the ground and the resort itself is out of this world absolutely amazing and eating out in Turkey even if your all inclusive is so cheap

Olu Denize which is about 10- 15 mins in the bus from Fethyie is gorgeous with plenty of shops bars restaurant. For all inclusive i would recommend the following

    Belkzize Beach Club
Sun City ( very kid friendly )
    Olu Denize Resort

Pretty much the same for egypt the sharks bay area is fabulous with a pedestrianised shopping area at So Ho square for the evening walks ect
Sunrise Island view, Concord El Slam and the Hilton are all fab in this area with beach front locations

With both of these countries your not restricted to the hotels, you can go out and about and do stuff very cheaply in taxies or on tours

Plenty of markets for the genuine fake jeans and designer handbags ,lots of boat trips and interesting tours to do at very very cheap prices - think around £10 -£15 per person for 1 trip instead of £50 £80 per person per trip in places like Mexico & Dominican Republic

If your going at the May Half term then if you can go for the week before and the half term itself then you should get some amazing good deals

I would do two weeks a weeks not long enough and you only pay a few pounds more often for the extra week

Dubai has some really good all inclusive hotel as well
You could do a few nights at Atlantis Palm Hotel which isn't cheap and then a few nights somewhere cheaper Have a look at booking.com and travel republic Booking .com you often don't have to pay until you actually arrive
Emirates do cheap flights even booking a few weeks before and you get 30k of luggage as well rather than the poxy 20k with most airline

and if you want to go long haul then Cuba is a good option as well much cheaper than Mexico.
Ive stayed at Las Brisas Hotel In Guadalavaca and its great as you can go out and walk around in the small shopping centre ect and your not to cut off from everything
  • oh and if you go to Egypt make sure you get the right hotels

a lot of the egypt hotels have sister hotels - one hotel that is right on the beach and a sister hotel that is maybe a 10 mins walk to the beach or in some cases a bus ride.
While you can normally use all the facilities of both hotels and often have lunch and snacks drinks at each other hotels The sister hotels are normally a lower grade/standard of the beach hotel

it might not sound like much but if your beach lovers then this can be a big disappointment

All of the hotels that i mentioned for Sharks Bay have sister hotels
once beachside and one about 10 mins walk or so away

Of all of the The Sunrise Island View is best ( the junior suites are lovely ) the non beach sister hotel is the Sunrise Garden View

I have been all inclusive but for the last 6 years have gone self catering

I have booked all inclusive next year in Turkey, I do love Turkey but think that the prices are going up now and it is no longer as cheap as it used to be, AI wasnt that expensive and when I added up what I had spent on food/drink we will still be quids in so if we want to eat out one night then it is no problem

Sorry , I am defensive about Ai , too many people , who have never tried Ai , try and give misleading advice. I expect ( well know) you get all sorts of hotels /restaurants etc.

In many cases that is correct. The hotels can be VERY large, and with multiple resturants on site, complex rather than hotel is a better description. Also , if you have paid for 'everything' upfront , why pay again.

Also , many Ai are remotely located .

    ps my choice. http://www.susesihotel.com/en/index

I can think of nothing worse than to go abroad and spend all my time in a large hotel complex. I go to see the country and sample the culture and cuisine, which also means eating out in local restaurants serving traditional fayre. You could be literally anywhere in the world in one of those large complexes, they're all basically the same :rotfl:

i think it is about getting what is right for you family

personally I like self catering as I enjoy eating and drinking at local places, however even though I am all inclusive next year I wont be spending every minute in the hotel

I have friends however who book a really nice all inclusive and hardly ever leave the hotel, they go on holiday to chill by the pool with kids who like to swim and be entertained. They like to eat and drink what they want when they want and that is their idea of a holiday. They go on holiday for the weather and the chill of everything being done for you
