Now Tv and data usage?

Decided to order a Now Tv box for occasional live sky football plus the score centre stuff. Sky is way too pricey, and I can't always be bothered to go to the pub to watch. I've done a broadband speed check and at 3.50MB/s download speed I seem to have a fast enough connection for it to work. So I hope someone could tell me how much data usage I would use? I have a 10GB cap and would probably have it on for, say, 4 hours on a weekend day. I'm thinking of ordering it maybe twice a month (that's 2 days).

Streaming an HD movie or the equivalent football match will use around 1.5 GB of data.
Easy to eat up 10GB very quickly.0 -
Thanks, but I think (may be wrong) that the Now Tv boxes are only SD for the sport. So the data would last longer than streaming HD. But if you're right then maybe I should look for an unlimited data package.0

Even at half that rate for SD streaming, a 10GB capped tariff will be inadequate for all but the most brief on-demand usage. No free lunch, and no free laptop

not sure as I have no experience of Now TV.
If you can find an affordable uncapped service then go for that.0 -
I agree that a 10GB cap will probably not be enough.
I signed up, largely for the I-Player but also to use the Sky day pass from time to time. I watched part of the 4th Ashes Test and even switching off at lunch, was easily consuming 5+GB a time. When the allowance ran out, I got a buffering page until I got online to my ISP, Plus.net, and added credit.
My 10GB a month for £6.49 will become £29.99 next payment because of the added allowances.
I'm now on an uncapped tariff.0
