Hello!
Just wondering are these wireless extenders any good? I have sky moden in one room and when i go into next room i cannot get a signal, unless in rather an awkward place, like standing in the corner of the room!
so just thought maybe i could try one?
thanks :j

They are more hit and miss than a set of Homeplugs, which you can obtain with a wireless connection on one plug.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Routers are radio transmitters, the higher you place it in the home the better the signal will be and the less energy will be absorbed by earth.
Moving the router upstairs usually improves the signal in all rooms.Be happy...;)0 -

I'm extending the wifi for a neighbour. I've temporarily provided a pair of my powerline adaptors. I'm (and he) is not a great fan of these for the main reason - they use 2 power sockets 24/7. EG. are they safe; do the latest ones have a power saving mode? You might like to read what this article says (near the bottom) about Wireless Repeaters / Range Extenders.0 -
