Place to visit with a pre-school child in Worcester/Cheltenham/Gloucester area?

This coming Wednesday I have a 260 mile trip to make with an almost 3-year-old and a 2 month old baby. To break the journey up we want to stop and spend a couple of hours somewhere so it's more of a day out for DS1, rather than him feeling like he's spent all day in the car. I've been doing this journey for the past 10 years and normally stop for a break at Strensham services as that's pretty much halfway, but that's not exactly an exciting place to spend a couple of hours! So I'm looking for somewhere around that area that we can head for, ideally not too far from the M5, that would be good fun for DS1.
It also needs to be somewhere where DH or I can sit with DS2 as we won't have a pushchair for him and need to give him a break from his car seat too.
Can anyone suggest anywhere?
