Despite being off sick I do feel better today and the house has been completely neglected while I've been hugging the toilet bowl. So here's my to do list for today, if I don't write it down it doesn't happen.
[STRIKE]1. Empty dishwasher[/STRIKE]
2. Clear kitchen tops
[STRIKE]3. Fold dried clothes up[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]4. Empty washing machine[/STRIKE]
5. Finish Christmas shopping, online of course
[STRIKE]6. Get xmas cards down from attic[/STRIKE]
7. Cook something nice for tea without going to the shops

But first I'm going to have a bath

Go to the job interview.....however agencies often upsell the new job perks....by going to the interview you can see what the truth is..


My friend recently took a new job with a basic pay 10K more than her current basic. But once she got the job and looked into it properly she is actually about 5K overall as her new bonus scheme is very strict...unlike her old job

That's a really good point. I have a 10% bonus with my current job, forgot about that!

Sold a jacket on Ebay for £40 tonight and got the most lovely letter from Yorkshire water yesterday, saying that now I've had my water meter fitted they owe me £179 :j
Oh and I have £6.96 to last til Wednesday (I've decided to budget weekly now instead of monthly). Which will be OK if I drive VERY economically to work, like 45mph down the motorway :rotfl:.

Thank you MSE, I just clicked on some info about balance trasnfer cards and got accepted by the bank of scotland. This means that all my debt is on 0% interest fee until at least 2015, apart from £2477 which is on 6.9% for life. That gives me a new DFD of January 2016, but I'm going for December 2015
I'm not sure which is the best debt to pay of first now, maybe my overdraft @19.9%?
On the down side I got scammed by a website while buying a gift for my son and looks like I lost £60 in the process. However that's less than 1 months interest on the balance I just transferred, I will fight til the end until I get it back though. :mad:
Another mile stone to celebrate, my debts have now dropped below the £14000 mark :j

The weekly budgeting seems to have worked this week any way. I had £145 for the week, fuel, food and spends and I have £5.86 left over, lets see what next week brings.
I've finally bought a new laptop, I had a good month with the online business so it was paid from that, of course I went through topcashback too worth £14.47.
I've had a cheque from Amazon today, for some affiliate income $112, that's £68 but not sure what that'll be in proper pounds.

I do ramble on about my various incomes, here's an explanation

1. My number 1 full time proper job which is included in my soa.
2. Online part time business which includes selling online and my youtube channel - forecasting 6k profit this year but most of that has gone on paying off business debts (yes on top of my personal ones!). However the business does pay some expenses and of course a new laptop.
3. Ebooks on Kindle publishing - zero sales in last 6 months - fail.
4. Affiliate income via website (amazon/share a sale/rated people) sporadic payments may be £50-£60 a month, but all depends and there are minimum payout thresholds so I don't get payments every month. All these go straight into overpayments.

No sign of my refund from yorkshire water yet, but I did get a letter saying my new monthly payments are £29 instead £65 so getting that water meter fitted was a massive help.


Gas bill in for last month £63 gulp (slopes off to turn the thermostat down another degree)

Not a bad week in all, although I did have a skinny latte (£2.65) That's was after a 3 hour drive to work which normally takes 1 hour on the 'day of the storm'.
Money saving this week has been 2 days off sick, so saved £10 driving to work, stayed at BF's one night, another £5 fuel saved. Free xmas dinner at work today.
Got my water refund today which went straight off the Barclay card, meaning that I have now paid over £10,000 of my debts in 1 year, how on earth have I done that - wowee!!! :j
Normally when I would get surprise payments and refunds, it was like extra money that got spent, now it goes to the debts, and I intend when I have paid this lot off it will go to the savings.
Tonight I am making DS's birthday cake, cost £1 for some chocolate buttons for the top, the rest of the ingredients I had in the cupboard.

Well today was a bit of a debt free disaster, DD 'needed' more new shoes for work as the first pair I bought were uncomfortable (wonder if I can 'doctor' a fault and take the first pair back) and some cream for her sore hands. I also bought some whiskey glasses for my bros xmas pressie, so must make sure that I take the other ones I bought him back.
I did a monster Aldi shop £56.66, and got quite a bit of xmas stuff, I also used a £5 off voucher I found in the paper.
Had a mooch round a charity shop and found a lovely Musto hoody, probably £60 new, for £4.50 - did I NEED it - No.
I also found some Austin Reed work trousers for £6 that fitted perfectly, and considering my inside leg is 36" they were quite a find, did I need them - YES, my other work trousers are about fit for the bin.
So I've now overspend this weeks budget by £73.67, oh dear.:mad:

I forgot to say that I went for that interview earlier in the week, it went OKish, I still wasn't feeling that great so probably didn't shine very much. The feedback from the agency was that they got the impression I didn't actually want the job, which was probably true actually, if I didn't want the extra money I wouldn't have gone to the interview.

DS's birthday went well today, he got a fair bit of cash, so paid for his own takeaway :rotfl:
