Virgin: Returning Equipment

I've recently cancelled Virgin, and arranged for an engineer to call and collect the equipment. They should have been here yesterday, before 6pm. I did ring them at around 4.30 and was told, yes, I was on the list and someone would be there. No one turned up.
I'm loathe to ring them again on an 0845 number, so what is best to do now?
