I've just received a replacement lid for my 30l touch bin. I simply ordered it online as you can order free spare parts under guarantee. You simply fill out a form on screen stating the problem and when you bought it etc. No proof needed. Fantastic!:j

My lid broke as well - the semi circular piece on the bottom rim of the lid- rang 0844 873 5848 which is their customer service no. and a new lid will be with me within 7 days. Brilliant service!

I broke the spindle catch on my 30 l touch bin last week, I didn't know about the 10 year guarantee as the bin is about 7 years old but after reading about it on this Money Saving Website I went online and ordered a new bin lid under the guarantee and the free lid came today! Great service Brabantia and thank you!

For nearly a year I have been balancing my dog bowls on the top of the bin to keep the lid closed.
I read this thread, made the call and within minutes they are sending me a new lid free of charge as suggested.
I even checked Say No to 0870 for a landline number, so not a penny spent... Great. Customer Service Number is 01275 819119

Delighted to report that the great service cited on this thread continues from Brabantia. I have a similar fault to others reported here (the semi-circular black plastic catch retainer broken off). I couldn't quote place or date of purchase but the very helpful Customer Services Assistant asked me a few pertinent questions this morning and was able to establish provenance. A brand new lid is on its way to me free-of-charge; the new 30L lid has a different design and both parts of the catch are now available spares.

Thumbs up Brabantia - this quality of service sets you apart from many.

I phoned Brabantia on 01275 819119 to ask where I could get a replacement as the lid on my 5 year old 50L Touch bin was broken.

I couldn't remember where I had bought it and I no longer had receipt/proof of purchase but I wasn't asked for any of this when I phoned.

I was asked what the problem was, where 'Brabantia' was written on the lid and what the model was. I was informed that it was in warranty and they would send me a free replacement lid. Duly received by Royal Mail courier a week later.

Great service from Brabantia. :T

After looking online for spare parts / new replacement lid for my 50L bin due to lid catch breaking so lid not staying shut, i came across this thread..... just rang on the 01275 number and was asked where the logo was, lady confirmed my bin was still under gaurantee !! i was somewhat surprised as i thought i'd had it more than 10 years, new lid ordered, free of charge, to be delivered within 5 x days.... result !! i was all for paying another fortune for a new one :T

I have just phoned the 01275 819 119 number; the very lovely lady said because by bin is still in warranty that they will send me a new lid within 5 days completely free of charge. I have had by bin for nearly six years and it is the little plastic part on the bin and not the catch that broke off on mine. Very happy and would not have know to do this if not for this site :-)
