Europcar

Options
Hi guys,

After reading all the nightmare stories about car hire I decided to book with Europcar directly and settle for a slightly smaller car (208 or equiv) due to price instead of what I needed (Golf or equiv) for 4 people and 2 large suitcases.

Has anyone had luck in free upgrades etc with them?
The cost of larger car was over 120 quid more than other online broker deals, but it was through using Thrifty and other a bit dodgy companies.

Ps. Im renting in Olbia Apt, Sardinia.

What time do you pick the car up?

My experience with car hire has been if you arrive early morning or later in the evening you get what you asked for.

Late morning you get what they've got - which will be in with a good chance of an upgrade because the smaller cars went first come first served before you got there.

    Not done a mid-afternoon collect!
