Mobile keeps crashing/freezing

I have a ZTE Blade 3 but its extremely slow when trying to do just about anything and is constantly crashing or freezing. I don't use the internet on it a lot, mainly for Facebook and emails. It has lots of memory and not a huge amount of apps installed. I've never been prompted to upgrade the software on it (if that's the correct terminology, bit of a technophobe!)

Does anyone know if there's anything I can do to solve these problems? I know it's only a budget phone and I can't expect great things from it, but it's only a couple of months old and I don't want to give up on it if there is anything simple I can do to improve its performance.

Have you got a memory card in the phone?
if so take it out and see how it performs with out it
If its a lot better then its the memory card you will need a class10 card
when you buy memory cards they go up in classes as well as Mb and GB
    Class 10 is the fastest

I have a 16gb class 10 in both my phones and they run fine.

Will it work without the memory/SD card?

Your thinking of upgrading the firmware that runs the handset - it's always a good idea to check you have the latest available.

Check at the manufacturers website for support first, then b doing this this also provides the maser reset talked about earlier.

Although there was lots of available memory on the phone, I have moved all the apps that can be moved from there on to the SD card. I hope I'm not tempting fate by saying this, but it does seem to have helped. :D

I've only just taken this advice and wish I'd tried it out when you first suggested it. It does seem to be performing much better since I removed the SD card. The annoying thing is that I got rid of my Galaxy Ace a while ago because I was having similar problems. I thought the problems with the Ace were due to the fact that it had a tiny memory and wouldn't allow you to put many of the apps on the SD card rather than on the phone itself. I liked the phone much better than this one until it started going wrong and am wondering if the problem would have been solved if I'd removed the card - I'll never know now!

still having problems with this phone! Every time I do something that seems to help, it goes wrong again a day or so later. I saved all the apps to the memory card that could be saved. That helped for a day or so. Then I took the memory card out altogether. Again that helped for a little while. About this time yesterday I did a factory reset and it's just started playing up again.

Any more ideas anyone please? I hate this phone so much right now!

Uninstall the facebook app and see how it runs.

Do you think that would make a difference? Plus that is one of the apps I use a lot anyway so I wouldn't want to do without it altogether.

I've just switched it off and on again and it seems to be better - don't know how long that will last though.

Just add it as a bookmark, the FB app seems to take over the phone , for me I don't need to know what tripe people are posting as it happens on my phones it was that app that was having a great detrimental effect.
