Sorry, late again getting up. Its raining here and very miserable looking. Going into town for a cuppa and to try and get OH a new winter coat. Feeling a bit achy today as fell over and bruised my knees and elbows on Monday when I was out with GD.

We got my DD1 and little 11.5 lap top yesterday so it would be small enough for her to take with her to Uni. She doesn't always hear the lectures very well as their loop system isn't good so now she can get them up on here lap top, hopefully.

iluvcats, thanks for putting the link to the Ecover comp on for firefly.

firefly - yes we do seem to be a little alike :) I have to do my DD2's invoices for her and check all her reports as she also has dyslexia. Good luck with the Ecover comp, I have won 3 bottles of washing up liquid now.

Sheils - when are you going to Blackpool? You have certainly had a busy year.

Good luck to everyone for the end of the month (I need to get busy), the dailies are driving OH insane but he won't stop and drop some off so I just let him get on with it. We have had some good wins on the dailies so not complaining.

Must get on as OH is waiting to go out.

Off to Blackpool on Sunday ILC - just for 2 nights. Was the holiday to do with the "Glasgow Fair"? Favourite show I ever saw at Blackpool was Danny La Rue, it was spectacular.
Think I should write a book on how to see Britain on the cheap and still have a great time!

Great your DH is still doing the dailies for you Sylvia. Mine is too busy with his Kindle just now. He loves it and has managed to work things out by himself. I expected him to keep needing help with it as he isn't used to technology at all.
Hope your knees and elbows are better soon. I did something silly when we were at Cockermouth last time. I was holding my wine glass and DH's pint while he set up the camera and moved on the seat for the angle. My feet slipped on the gravel and because I had a glass in both hands I couldn't save myself and since I had shorts on I got an enormous bruise on one knee! It was our first drink as well.
    Forgot to mention - I didn't spill a drop!

"Glasgow Fair" that was it 'Sheils' - we would be busy in the hotel with Scottish visitors and the promenade was packed.

I'd go to Stanley Park on days off & feed ducks etc.

In a way I miss Blackpool. The winters were rough though, couldn't walk down the prom some days, too windy. Loved Lancashire hotpot with red cabbage.
Conference season, Pigeon Fanciers, Shoe fairs, trade shows etc. gave us more trade.

Done my Ocado order for Friday. Handy free delivery for Meow's Whiskas etc.

DH used to get overtime going to Glasgow to drive buses to Blackpool and back at Glasgow Fair he says. Don't know if peeps still do that. Not so many factories etc and everyone getting different holidays.
My first holiday with a friend was to Blackpool when we were 18 - we had a wonderful time!

Sheils - sorry you fell but glad to see you got your priorities right and didn't spill the wine.

Well done on the wins/deliveries Rosemac/firefly.

No interesting post and not wems today so far. Managed to get OH a lovely winter coat from BHS £50, he actually came with me to choose it which is unusual for him.

    Have a lucky day everyone.

Sylvia: He can't blame you for getting the wrong coat.

C+A / Littlewoods going NOW less choice of department stores.

I rarely wear a coat as am a hot person, also taking it off in shops etc. (+ carrying it) is annoying.

Well done on the win and swift deliveries and Rose on your booty.
Thanks for the heads-up on yr namesake, think it's a compo as reply implied that.
