Better than some areas.

We are same as Nikkster
Type O61: Convivial Homeowners
Well paid professional couples, often with children, choosing to live in diverse urban areas rather than the suburbs
Kind of true for us -ish but not most of our neighbours in our cul de sac (6 in total) as 4 households are retired and the 5th is the vicar as the house is attached to the church next door.
But put in the 2nd home and we are
Type 065 Anti-materialists, sharers and singles, many on benefits.
True of some of my new neighbours but not all.
It's an interesting tool0 -
TypeA03: Business Class
Business leaders approaching retirement, living in large family homes in the most prestigious residential suburbs.
That about sums me up.

N60: Global Fusion. Young working people living in metropolitan terraces from a wide variety of ethnic backgrounds. Global Fusion are young working people, between the ages of 26 and 45, mostly in London. There are many here from a wide variety of ethnic minorities. Even those of British origin will have moved to London from elsewhere in the country. Most of them are either single or living with their partners, but not married. There are also quite a few houseshares in these areas. Many people have young children too. The lone parents in these areas are unlikely to be working. Those who do work are degree educated and employed in mid-level professional occupations.
I'd dispute whether we're young, being in our mid/late forties, but it's certainly a diverse neighbourhood.
I grew up in F24 - mid-life families with above average incomes living in the nicer middle ring suburbs of larger cities.

Current Address G30 Soccer Dads and Mums - Parents of school age children, owning large recently built detached houses with mortgages funded by their successful careers.
Soccer mums and dads are in their 30s and early 40s mostly living in recently built, but by no means brand new housing......they are therefore more likely to live on estates built by national chains of house builders, on the edge of major population centres, quite close to intersection with arterial roads......
Previous Address B09 Escape to the Country - families choosing to give their children a country lifestyle while commuting to urban jobs or running a business from home.
Escape to the country are relatively well off middle class who live with their families in or close to thriving villages - these are professionals and managers who prefer to have their children brought up in the security of a rural village than in a major population centre.
Our previous house (Escape to the Country) was in a suburb near Reading.....although close to open countryside. It was in no way a thriving village.....although 100 years ago it was a village....
Our current house (Soccer Mums and Dads) is on the edge of thriving rural village - the house is quite new and was built by a local builder. We are no where near intersections to arterial roads.....40mins to the A1. And open country side to the back of the house as far as the eye can see.
Our children are grown up, we're early retired, though we are bringing up a grandson (12 today) and moved away from our last area to give him the country upbringing we couldn't give our own children, away from the soccer mums and dads, play dates etc.....
So totally back to front for us.0 -
E23 Balcony Downsizers !
Fair enough this is a bit of a retirement area.
Grew up in A03 but most recently lived in O61 convivial homeowners. Sounds better than we've got now. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
If this tool is still available f.o.c. in 5+ years it will be interesting to look up whether there have been demographic changes. For example, in my first house (one bedroom) when I moved in I was surrounded by other people striving to buy their first home. From the frequency that they come up for rent in the local paper it didn't surprise me to see that they are now nearly all BTLs (type H34).
Another thing that surprised me is that my parents, brother and sis-in-law all live in similarly priced houses in the same general area. If you shortlisted houses on type, they are sufficiently similar to get on the same list. In spite of this they fall into three different categories, each of which is reasonably accurate. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? In both our rented flat and the house we're trying to buy we come up as a Type M55: Backyard Regeneration - Singles and families in affordable but respectable terraces which for the young are a stepping stone to better things. I like it, it doesn't apply at all to the flat, but I'm hopeful it will apply to the house!0
