Hi
On the ford website they recommend: Castrol Magnatec Professional A5 oil (5W30), i've searched on the web in all the usual places: google, amazon, ebay, halfords and i don't seem to be able to find it, does anyone have any recommendations as to where i could purchase, or alternatives?
Many thanks

Have you tried looking on www.opieoils.co.uk
You can put in your car make/model on there and it will list suitable oilNow free from the incompetence of vodafail0 -
205 litre barrel only.
in your handbook there should fords oil standard number, look at the back of any oil bottle its the number is there then its the right oil for your car0 -
Castrol Magnatec Professional A5 is exclusive to car manufacturer workshops, and is coloured green so you can tell it has the correct oil in(and try to wheedle out of the warranty)
Opie oils sell it

About right for magnatec oil, I buy the standard straw coloured stuff at Halfords when they sell it half price.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

Get the ford formula f stuff off eBay or from Paynes direct.0

I was impressed with the Triple QX Oil from ECP. Very good value and apparently as good as the leading brands, although it is not "magnatec". Search the web and you'll easily find an extra 25% off anything on their site too.

As above get the Formula F stuff. Cheaper off ebay than in the store.
But you can usually collect and save the postage.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Mobil Super 3000 at £24 in Halfords is a good buy.
5 litre bottle too, I need 4.6 litres for my car so if I buy Castrol Magnatec I have to buy a 4 litre and 1 litre bottle and the 1 litre bottles alone are around £10 - £13 at most places.0 -
I bought Castrol Edge Fully Synthetic 5W30 on Thursday night and it was delivered yesterday from ECP.
£46.99 at Halfrauds I think and £39.99 at ECP. With 25% code it was £29.99 and they have a 30% code now for the weekend (HOT30) which makes it only £27.99.0 -
sory, i thought this was my oil thread.0
