Any tips from people that have been doing this longer would be gratefully received!

    Thanks :)
dont write anything other than the address on the envelope ..eg writing where to post / time/ date on front ot posit note on envelope

if posting on a Saturday check what time your last posting time is ... a few of the slots on schedule say after 1pm but last post is usually well before this
  • Hi,
next week will be my 3rd week live posting. My online schedule shows 6 items to post 5 of which require smarts. Today i have received my posting pack for the week beginning 25/11 but I haven't received my items for week beginning 18/11. Is it likely my next weeks pack will arrive tomorrow or should i have had it by now?.

    Thanks in Advance

If you still have not received the pack for next week, it's now too late to phone but you could try emailing.
  • wish RM would make up their minds ... after been rested for over a year ( 15 months) i was took back on the panel twice for 2 weeks ..and just got email being rested again argghhhh why dont they stick to their 6 month's on 6 months on which they told us about 18 months ago and make it fair on everyone
  • i wish they'd make up their minds about SMARTs. They just sent me two in the post so I have enough for next week and now they want one of them back so I can't send out Tuesday's post.

    :(

Thanks for the reply, it arrived this morning while i was out. Yesterdays package arrived with some parcels via the royal mail van, maybe thats why that one got to me first :o
  • hi

I've just received a test item but the SMART inside looks a bit strange. I'm not sure if someone doing the international panel has got their SMARTS mixed up ? It says International Post Corporation at the top and Postag PT30 ?

I don't want to get anyone into trouble (not sure if you're allowed to do the international and the normal posting surveys at the same time), so should I just say I didn't receive a SMART ?

I'm due to start the international one in January so I can always send it back then.

    thanks for any ideas

it looks a little like the old style smarts from last year....does it still have a 4 letter code on it eg ASDF?...or any other combination ....I just made that one up!

if you click on the news and features tab of the website about half way down under the magazine pics it shows you pis of the old style and new style smarts....I think what you have may be the old style and the pic you show of it is without its plastic packaging.

If it has a 4 letter sequence on it just input it as normal so it appears on your stock and send it back when asked or recycle it to another test item as directed.

It does look similar to the "old but still used" SMARTs but it seems a slightly different shape (oritentation is different too). The TNS (Kantar) ones do say "Royal Mail Domestic" so I think upsydaisydoo has received one from the other survey company.

Upsydaisydoo - you could try using whatever may appear to be the code. If it is not recognised by the TNS system, use the back button and select that you didn't receive a Smart.

As you suggest, you could just keep this stray item and process it through the International Survey next year if it turns out that is one of their smarts.

If the person sending it to you was meant to include a proper TNS SMART and unless they put it in a different package, they will still have what they thought they had sent. It won't appear on their stock list and therefore they will be sending it back to TNS today - just like we all check our SMART stock list every Friday :).
  • Thanks for your replies. I know what you mean about it looking like an old style one, but it's slightly different and it feels new.

I've tried putting various codes in, but none seem to be recognised, so I think I'll just put it aside for now and send it off in January.

    Thanks for your help !
