Sadly this really doesn't surprise me..... It is TNS after all, The only task they seem able to consistently carry out is running amok!0 -

I did about 4 or 5 weeks training then in February got the email to say I was being paused for a few weeks. I'm still waiting to go back on the main panel. I emailed them and this is the reply I got
"When you pass the training stage your status on the system changes and then we wait for a space to become available in your post code. At the moment we have a lot of panellists waiting in your post code and no available spaces. So unfortunately at the moment we are unable to put you on to the live survey. Quite often it depends on the particular post code at the time, as certain post code we are very well off for panellists and others we struggle to get people to do the survey" I am doing the correctly and undelivered whilst I am waiting.0 -
Right, I've scoured through the FAQ online but didn't seem to find an answer to what I need.
Basically, I received an item but the other panellist clearly forgot to put the R Number label on. I have the SMART and their name/address, but not the R Number and without one it isn't letting me log anything in!
What do I do? Do I need to email them?
When completing the "received" info, underneath the box where you input the Smart ID there is a tick box which is used to indicate there is no R number available.
I assumed that this should be ticked and it would allow you to complete the other relevant information.
Does this tick box work, or is it just something they have started to include but not carried on with the coding needed to make it work as it was intended?0 -

The tick box is used to enter items that do not have an R number but not items that should have an R number but don't because the sender has forgotten to put one on. Items that do not have R numbers are often magazines. There is a list of what panelists can expect to receive on the website .0 -
I'm not taking part in the main panel survey at the moment but did take a couple of items to a post box yesterday (Easter Bank Holiday Monday) and was surprised to see that the tab indicated the next collection would be on Monday. I thought the last collection postie might have put the wrong tab in the holder.
This morning (Tuesday), I went past the post box before 7 am and the tab now said Tuesday. So it appears they did collect on Monday.
I just thought I would mention that as, in the past, I had thought there weren't collections on a BH and therefore held things over to the following week.0 -
On Saturday - I got two posting packs.
Opened the first one and it contains items to go out first week of May (and incentive stamps for May). Funny - I thought I was due for a rest after April.
Opened the second one and this has a letter telling me I'm being rested and here's my final incentive - Children's TV Presentation Pack and another 12x1st and 4xLarge1st.
So drowning in stamps again...I need to think of something new here...0 -
Just to say, this isn't a one off as my OH noticed the exact same thing with the postbox near us!anamenottaken wrote: »I'm not taking part in the main panel survey at the moment but did take a couple of items to a post box yesterday (Easter Bank Holiday Monday) and was surprised to see that the tab indicated the next collection would be on Monday. So if you have a hole in your pocket you might lose your loose change.0 -

No, that tickbox is for magazines/letters which don't have R Numbers. My sender has just forgotten to put theirs on. I'll probably end up just emailing TNS.0 -
Royal Mail do collect from SOME postboxes on Bank Holidays, however they are not all collected from.
It is highly likely that they emptied them first thing this morning (before they began to prepare today's deliveries) as they would be rather full with all the post since Saturday lunchtime in them.... Royal Mails service updates were saying "no collections or deliveries" for yesterday in every area.0 -

Yes, email TNS with:- Your panelist number
- The SMART code
- Item type / postage type
Then return the SMART in a SMART returns envelope.0
