I would also read your travel insurance very carefully to see if you are covered0

50C!! What did it feel like then????????????
I've been in October and it was too hot for me to sit out between about 10am and 3pm. I had to sunbathe before breakfast, have a late breakfast and then go out again after 3pm!
I went to egypt once in August it was about 53C in the shade, but it was totally fine as there was a constant breeze coming down the coast, there was just one day with no breeze which was a bit hot.
But all in all was fine as its a dry heat with very little humidity so as long as you drink plenty of water your fine.
I would prefer 50C+ with little humidity over 40C in a humid country.0 -
OP said it was for 2 adults?
We booked the morning of the day they declared the state of emergency, going next month. Fully intend to travel unless the FCO says we can't.
At the moment, people just arriving back are reporting on travel forums that the resorts really were unaffected apart from the loss of some excursions and the one night curfew they put in place.
If you weren't planning on going out and about, and aware that the holiday may be cancelled last minute then why not?
Because its moronic going to a country on the verge of civil war, I may have confused the question I am sure it originally mentioned children unless it's being edited , still doesn't change the stupidity of it.0 -

What an exaggeration! Effectively Egypt has returned to the situation it was in before 2011: the army are firmly in charge and the Muslim Brotherhood are unhappy.0
