This sort of scenario mirrors situations that happen all the time and have appeared on this forum in the past. Examples of this include finding a wallet on the street, being sent 2 phones by your network in error etc.

You have asked what you should do with the phone and I have given you my input. Not everyone is going to agree with my thoughts on this subject but as with the examples above you are going to get people who say keep it and people who say give it back.

Your posts, IMO, have given the impression you want to keep the phone and when others have suggested it may be wise to hand it back to secure contract cancellation as a precaution your following posts then again look for options in which you keep it.

I am not saying you must hand it back I am saying in the same position I would feel morally obliged to hand it back.

And to your final question yes. If I paid £100 for the handset and then had the agreement cancelled due to signal I would expect the handset cost back. This is, however, not relevant to the post.

earthworm - you keep editing your posts, maybe you don't agree with your thoughts on this subject as well?

What the hell have these examples got to do with my question about termination of the contract which the provider initiated themselves?

My posts are edited to correct spelling which at times can be incorrect as I am typing on my mobile. Seems like a pointless comment to make.

These examples have nothing to do with network cancellations and are examples I have used to compare to your situation and your OP "return phone after network cancellation". You are questioning whether you HAVE to return the phone and I haven't said you have to I have said I would. There is a difference.

I am not going to get into an argument over my opinion and I can see you are getting rather defensive over it. Lets just leave it at that.
