Mortgage offer-can it not be emailed/couriered?

We have established my conveyancers are a waste of space from recent events. Now they've just mentioned that they haven't received our mortgage offer-I have no idea why they haven't chased this before (we've had several conversations over the last two weeks about everyone wanting to exchange asap)-if fact they didn't chase it-I did on Monday. If it hasn't arrived by the time my solicitor arrives back off his jolly holidays on Friday. Is it possible to get the mortgage company to email /courier it (we'd pay obviously). Might be a silly question-but you'd think in this day and age there must being a simpler way of doing things?
We're with the Woolwich, I know the offer was originally issued on 12/07/13 as the broker-who is much more efficient text me to tell me. Also the mortgage broker has spoken to our solicitors several times and they have never mentioned not having received it-which the broker said seems strange.
Anyone who has a super conveyancer wants to thank their lucky stars;)

Lender may be able to fax a copy for solicitor to work with, but will need paper original docs, for mortgage deed is contained therein, before completion.I am a mortgage broker. They must be taking a week to actually package and post them for them to take two weeks to arrive by second class post.
We've raised this as an issue with our BDM and I suspect many more brokers will also do so, as we end up having to do extra work to get offers faxed to solicitors on urgent exchanges.I am a mortgage broker. Thank you both for your replies, Tom I feel your pain! Theres a space on my desk now-where i periodically bang my head!
At least now I understand the offer contains a mortgage deed. Can they get by then with a faxed copy until the actual exchange-so in theory it shouldn't stop him drawing it all up?
I just cant get my little head around why no ones invented a much simpler system. I also know that if I dont find all this stuff out so I can keep onto the conveyancer that they will just fob me off
Thank you again for your help. This is a whole new world to me:)
(I could recommend a guide to moving which highlights the common pitfalls people have been through - but its on a removal companies website-so I dont know if thats allowed? but I found it an eyeopener. I was also somewhat comforted to know its not just me!;)0 -
Had the same issue with our solicitors (even though both myself and our mortgage adviser received our copies), but they decided to tell me this on the morning we had exchange planned, which was 6 weeks after everyone else had received the mortgage info! It's very frustrating. We managed to get our mortgage lender to send the documents again via next-day delivery although they specifically said 'we won't send them again after this'!
Good luck

its good to know they could do it on a next day if its needed-but yes you hardly need the stress do you. I can imagine that you were beside yourself with worry.
I don't think this is a process I ever want to repeat in a hurry.
Might be needing a holiday when all this is over;)0
