 Three weeks ago I sent an email to 02 asking them to give me the date my contract expires so that I can give them 28 days notice and never have to deal with them again.
Usual 02 service. No reply, so two weeks ago sent another email in plain english asking for the date of contract end. Should have known better but again no reply.
This moring sent another email to just now receiving a phone call from a chap who clearly struggles with english asking about the service from 02, they are a market research part of 02 checking on customers emails. He wanted a five minute survey on what the service was like from 02 and I asked him if he could tell me the simple answer to my question, but Nope he cant give that information.
What is it with 02, why are they so pathetic at customer service and having an asian call centre manned by individuals who struggle to understand the language of this land ? Although I suppose in fairness, English is becoming a minority language in the UK, so maybe at the end of the day it is me who expects too much. Should have realised.

Why not give them a call?0 -
I initially rang them twice and both times was given different dates for when the contract finished. I continued my contract from July 06 which finished July 07 but changed the tariff, also had a phone as part of the deal which didnt work, so sent that back and kept my own phone and got £100 back, 02 extended the contract from when they received the phone back, and then again changed the tarif, so it all became a mess and took some time to get right. I even lost service for a two week period.
The first time I rang I was told August, the second time I was told it was Oct as that was when they swopped over tarif. I know it was Jully but want written proof of the end date and that is what is causing frustration. And then this prat rings wanting to know how the service has been but cant give me the simple answer, just why do they bother as they have my email and referred to it ?0 -
The problem with any indian call centre is the fact they lack the understanding of the business itself. Because they are sitting million miles away, they have absolutely no idea if the nature of the business itself. They the specially trained as robots you could say. They have a set script which they follow on their screens for example so whenever a customer has an issue, they all pretty much sound the same. Of course add to that the language problem can also be a barrier to good effective communication between two parties.0
