3 Mobile Porting Problem

Anyone got any ideas how I can sort my problem???

Basicly I recently joined 3 as spending £15 a month instead of £25 and getting almost the same minutes and texts as I did with 02 really appealed.

I got my PAC code from 02 and gave it to 3. The number was supposed to transfer on the 7th June. Which it did... BUT... I can only make outgoing calls and texts. I can't receive them!!! I've turned off all diverts tried loads of different phones to call my number and all I get is "this number is not recognised".

I've called 3 and spoken to CS, but nothing seems to be happening to solve the problem. I'm not even sure they understand the problem i've told them.

Anyone got any suggestions about who I can call/email to sort this out and it's getting beyond a joke as I need the phone!!!

sounds like the some of the porting files are missing, When you port a number what in effect happens is that call still routes through every service provider you have used that number with, On this occassion you need to ring 3 back and either ask them to speak to their porting department or have them transfer you to them so you can explain the problem,

Any reasonable advisor should have identified that the port has not fully completed and it just needs all the correct porting files to be added, i would call them back ASAP, And ask them to sort the problem, The important thing to remember is that it`s 3 that need to remedy this, Its not down to you to have to be riinging your old network any other suggestion they might try and fob you off with

Sorry to hear of your problem. Will be watching this with interest as im expecting to move over myself shortly and hope not to have the same problem but if i do would like to see what they do to sort it out.

    Goodluck.
