If stupidity is defined as becoming distracted and forgetting something on an occasion then fine. It was a silly mistake, but I'm sure you've never forgotten anything at all.
I'm very glad they only took £100 of course, but I'd still love to have it back!
To update the thread, still waiting to hear from the bank. Been messed around a bit, e.g. form I was sent to fill in told me I needed a crime ref number, police didn't want to give one until I gave bank a form confirming machine is correctly balanced etc. Then I was told when I rang the number on the letter I didn't need a crime ref for the amount of the claim!
I've even written a note asking them to check any CCTV at the ATM to support my claim. I'm told by post office that the machine is next to that general CCTV in the area can see the machine but only if pointed in the right direction; I've mentioned that too and hope they look at it for me.0
