On Reanults they have a second fuse box on many and in that fuse box are some small black relays that are identical.
Swap a few over and see if it starts.

I know one guy who spent thousands with garages fitting new parts as the code reader suggested scratching their heads giving up saying the wiring loom was knackered after swapping the ECU, he took it home after running out of money and his next door neighbour, also a Renault owner swapped the relays round and it started straight up.
    The new relay was £1.70.
    Be happy...;)

New ecu - call the dealers, will be many hundreds of pounds.

Secondhand ECU - £60-£150 plus fitting depending on year.

Fuel injection issue - need to be more specific, assuming the mechanic can actually tell you what the issue is. Maybe fuel pump, fuel pump relay, wiring, blocked injectors....etc etc

You need to know what the issue is, test the fuel pump, injectors and other major componds before spending any money.

Had a 205 gti years ago and it would randomly stop running. I traced the fault to a multi plug underneath the airbox, one of the contacts needed cleaning - free repair.
