Wheras I think it has been earned (by whoever it's inherited from) & should be there's to do what they want with, not subject to a dollop of taxation (which will be double-taxation in many cases). You're correct though, clearly we aren't going to agree so happy to agree to disagree.

Not sure if you think I want house prices to rise, or want them to fall, or if that wasn't directed at me at all? I guess most people in my circs would consider rising house prices a great thing, personally I consider them a disastrous thing, but my perspective is not typical of homeowners (apparently!)
