Please help me from another 1.5 hour wait on hold with BT......Any help from someone who knows would be much appreciated.

The story so far...... which could also help new subscribers.....

So I subscribed to BT Vision and free sport through infinity.... Although it is not made clear... even if you ordered it as part of your install package..... you still have to log in and then activate BT sport.... No idea why, but happy to jump through hoops for no reason....

After an hour and a half on the phone, I was finally told told that BT Sport would not activate for 24 hours and this was why I was getting error messages online.

It has now finally activated and works fine with me being able to view BT sports through the online app.

THE PROBLEM

I do have the Youview box, but cannot work out how to watch the BT sport channels. I am searching the TV guide menu (like you would on freeview or sky, etc) and cannot see the sport channels listed there.

Am I missing something or is there something special or are there more hoops I have to jump through to get the service.

I appreciate any help anyone can give in advance

It is channel 57. I ordered a box too but got the wrong one, it needs to be the one with a card slot, and BT won't swap it for the right one without me paying another £49. Grrrr

57 is an advert / promotional channel... Also there should be 3 channels. BT sport, Sport 1 and ESPN....

I was under the impression that you don't need a card if you have infinity

Oh, I thought that if you got the channels it would activate that channel. Don't know then, sorry.

well I have discovered its should be channel 507, 508 and 509..... But they are not on my youview menu..... nightmare

Just spent another 45 minutes on the phone with BT tech, telling me I have to call up the accounts team tomorrow..... Almost 2.5 hours on the phone and no progress...

Hi Bargain.hunter,

When did you order BT Infinity and BT TV and when did they say all the channels would go live? And are you on the Essentials pack (£5 a mth) or the Unlimited pack?
