Personally I'm planning on getting an XC90 for my 2+3 family.Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.- Mark TwainArguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon: no matter how good you are at chess, its just going to knock over the pieces and strut around like its victorious.0

This is why I'd recommend a Caddy Maxi; they're not a known car in the cab trade (although as a local company will vouch for, they are good for it), and you're looking £15k for a year old example.
The boot on them, even with all 7 seats up is better than on most cars (click here), and the 1.6 TDi is the same VAG engine we have in 2 Skodas in the office ('59'/'10' plate, one lasted 232,000mi, the other 196,000), not needing anything more than a clutch on the lower mileage one.

This is what my wife fancies next for our 2+3 family to as she doesn't like the van feel of driving 7seat MPV's. Although she has also hinted at the Audi Q7 now. Running costs are similar to our X3, just buying it is the issue lol
I suspect running costs of a 4x4 will be a good bit higher than the mpv's suggested.Roll on DFD, final payment 1st October 2017 :beer:0 -

My sister had an X5, then a Q7 when she had child no.4 (Car was 2007, she bought in 2009).
She's just gone into a '13' plate Galaxy, all the mod cons, and she's saying that already, it's halved her fuel bills. She's a 30k a year driver, on various roads (She works in North London, and commutes from just South of Cambridge)

Well after looking around I thing my best option is going to be the grand Espace, Although it drives well I thought it felt a little flimsy.
I hope I'm wrong, so will go have another good look round it. I was hoping that the better half would like the size of the galaxy, but she didn't, so the nice high spec car feel is out and the sparse bus feel is in.

Morning all,
just thought I'd update you. In the end the Espace fell by the wayside, MY better half didn't like it at all in the end (to van like) so we have decided to go for a Ford Galaxy. Found a very nice Titanium X from Motorpoint.
Its a 12 plate with just over 10k on the clock. We are picking it up this afternoon ready for our trip to the south coast, so it will have a baptism of fire as all 6 of us plus buggy and luggage will be in it!!
thanks for your advise
