7 seater

Options
Evening all,

I am looking for a new car (used but new to me, if you know what I mean).

I am in need of a 7 seater which has a reasonable boot space as I will need to carry a buggy for the baby. The car will also need to be able to fit in car seats for a 3 and a 4 year old as well as a 1 year old and a newborn. and just to throw a stick in the works the rear need to be big enough for a tall 11 year old!!

I have had a quick look at the c4 Picasso thing but with the rear most seats up the boot is tiny, I haven't ruled anything out yet as I might look at getting a roof box for all the kit we will be carting about. any advise would be much appreciated, I am looking at a budget of around £15k with an old 03 plate senic to trade aswell.

thanks in advance

Lol i am actually driving one of these for a few weeks. I am impressed. Bit too long for my needs and difficult to find parking space. It is a full 8 seater with a large luggage area. Plenty of power from the engine.
Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problems :( Well at least i learn something on the way :D

I ran a Grand Voyager for 12 years (it expired last year at 130k).
An excellent car, boot space, comfortable.
The downsides were it ate front tyres (all the weight at the front and a town with roundabouts), was thirsty (3.3L petrol engine), and main-dealer servicing was expensive.

VW Caddy Maxi (Local taxi company has about 4, and reckon they're brilliant)
I had 2x Ford S-Max; first lasted 274k in my hands (and is still going 2 years later) and second I kept to 106k (and I'd say it has about 170k now, as I sold it to a taxi driver)

12 years and you didnt die? Surely not.
We've had ours 4 1/2 years now, was going to get rid of it there, but to be honest, it's so versatile I'm going to keep it.
  • Check out the Seat Alhambra on YouTube WhatCar review... Looks very versatile and maybe just within budget

I never crashed it to find out.
  • Thanks for the advice, I am planning on taking a look round some dealers today so will keep my eye open for the above. I've always fancied a Ford Galaxy and came across this autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201307237958854/sort/pricedesc/usedcars/price-to/16000/model/galaxy/make/ford/onesearchad/used/onesearchad/nearlynew/onesearchad/new/radius/10/page/1/postcode/bb67lu?logcode=p

Any thought? will try take a proper look at it today.

    cheers
