Morning all,
all is well with me. Nothing new to add, nothing exciting happened but that's ok.
Hubby was in bed at 9pm last night. These 12 hour shifts are killing him. He doesn't have to do them though, he chooses to. He's trying to build up his bank account again after paying his loan off.
I think I detected a little bit of post natal depression in my daughter yesterday. Mind you, she could have just been tired. I'll have to keep a watchful eye on her.
Have a great day all,This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Morning All,
Quite cool here again today also. Think our summer is coming to a close for a while, can't complain it has been brilliant this year.
After managing a major declutter a month or two ago my OH is starting to buy in more stuff!
We have also started buying Christmas presents. We have so many to buy for that I'm glad we start early each year, so that we can spread the expense.
Teabreak over so it's back to work for me.
Have a good day everyone :beer:0 -

Hi all.
Been and posted a letter and harvested a few more blackberries; thank the gods for the mobility buggy!:o
I laid awake all last night still fretting over that phone call Mr LW had; DG I don't for an instant believe all the questions were to do with helping someone with a benefits claim - for one thing, it's not this chap's style to give that sort of help to anyone (Mr LW's known him since uni, remember), also if it was, why not just say so? And why did he need to know how to spell my name? (I overheard Mr LW telling him this info). Mr LW agrees with me, it's deffo not going to be anything good for us; he now regrets answering all the questions like the good, trusting lad he is.:( It's really got me worried.
Our GP surgery has put out a declamation that all repeat prescription requests for up to the end of September must be handed in by August 23rd as they're changing their computer system, so I'll have to sit down and work out what we'll need; Mr LW has an Early shift Monday, so we can go that afternoon - that'll be the last opportunity before the deadline. The dogs are arriving about 09:30 Monday morning, so hopefully we can get them settled and given a nice "walkies" before we go.:o I just hope they don't make a pigs posterior of my morphine prescription again. *rolls eyes*.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
.... There are in excess of four black bags of stuff. I am about to tip it all in the back yard as I need to clean and this stuff is now in my way. I just don't know what to do with her no more...
Do you have a neighbour whose garage could store the bin-bags for you for a couple of days, then you can tell her it has all gone, and watch while she tries to find where you've put it? It worked with me, my mum only had to do that once... I will have to think of an appropriate name for it when it arrives. It is pink with spirals ...
How about Rosie or Carmen-carry-all?...I laid awake all last night still fretting over that phone call Mr LW had; DG I don't for an instant believe all the questions were to do with helping someone with a benefits claim - for one thing, it's not this chap's style to give that sort of help to anyone (Mr LW's known him since uni, remember), also if it was, why not just say so? Would he twig if Mr LW fed him some false info to try and trip him up in whatever he is trying to achieve? it might also be a way of you being made aware if anything he does comes back to you two. For example, when I sign up to anything I only want for a comp or freebie, I use my initials & pre-marriage name0 -
Hi everyone,
Haven't been on here in ages, been feeling rather low where cooking is concerned, my fiance basically said that he had better get used to cooking his own meals, although when we have lived together he hasn't complained about my cooking (we normally live apart)0 -
Hi all, hope you are all well.I'm not posting every day either,as like Halight, nothing much is happening
.I seem to be on my own quite a bit as DH & DS2 are working on his house in any spare time they have.Nothing I can do there atm as all the wallpaper is now off,its been too wet for gardening, and in any case I'm not going for hours as the loo has been disconnected
I'm feeling a bit fed up and been trying to work out why.I think its :-
1. being dogless.Since Leo died I haven't been getting out of the house as much,so I dont bump into people I used to see.I have tried to go out for walks but only if the weather is nice, plus a lot of the walks I went on I wouldnt go without a dog, just feels safer with a dog.I would like to get another but DH is dragging his heels, don't know why apart from the house being up for sale and he said we should wait.
2.We haven't had any viewers for the house in nearly 3 months since we put it back on the market, after having 2 previous goes at selling and I feel trapped now,its stopping us moving on to the next stage of our lives downsizing.I know it is a limited market because its quite big,and a lot of other big houses round here have been up for sale for a couple of years, but I'm still feeling stuck here -I want to move to the other side of town nearer to DS2s house, and our friends.
Sorry, that turned into a self pity fest .I think I'd better go and do something useful and get over myself .I have some cards to make, and I cut out a nightie for DGD yesterday.
OS content minimal, but reading the turkey leg thread reminded me I have a leg in the freezer, and half a turkey crown too, might get one out for tomorrow.Tea tonight is fish, new pots and carrots.
LW- it does all sound very odd,why on earth would he want your name spelled out ? Strange man  Our docs has just done the same with their online prescription process, hope it goes ok.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Good afternoon,
just back from a couple of days in Birmingham to see DD & for DH 's work. I'm afraid to say I slept most of the return journey even though the hotel was very comfortable, maybe it was the change of air.
DH is making me a sandwich as my left hand is almost useless atm so I have dug out my pressure glove - and dinner will be something from the freezer.
Must start the washing .... tomorrowI can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
