Seems to be £18. Is this a standard price or just for those who they want to keep? I mean is a new customer paying more for broadband only?

I've been getting the broadband since June: £17.50 a month for the first three months then £22.50. So, on that basis, I'm paying more than you.0

about £23 is the standard price for broadband on its own without a phone line.
new customers can usually get a better price for a limited time but eventually goes back upto the original price0 -
I signed an 18 month contract a year ago for 60mb broadband only @ £27.50 per month. In February, Virgin increased this to £29.25, yet they are now offering new customers 6 months @ £16.25, then £27.50 per month. I can understand the 6 month discount, but why do I still have to pay £29.25 when I originally signed up for £27.50?0

Call retentions by selecting "thinking of leaving" and complain politely - you may get a discount. I pay £26.75 for 60Mbps BB only. I've seen others quoting less too.
Virgin Media run their business like a car boot stall - you have to haggle to get the best deal. A reduction will probably see you locked in for a year though. I had a declared £5 discount for two years. They always cheat a bit though - my £5 discount is on some dreamed up price rather than thenew customer pricing.0 -
Just got a 12m retention product, 30mb@£17.50 pm0

I wanted broadband only as I moved the TV over to sky on a 12 month half price deal. Finally came out with 30mb broadband, phone line and m pack Tv for spare room for £19.49 per month. Fairly happy with that.0

I just renegotiated with vm - 3 tv boxes ( a v+, a tivo and an original), 60mb bb, xl tv in all 3 rooms and the all-singing phone line, for £63 a month. I Was paying £62 for that minus the tivo and 30mb bb. I love vm."There is no substitute for time."
