Talk Talk increases Prices

Oh well I guess it will be time to switch away from Talk Talk, small increase my foot, 15p a minute on a landline!!

It is bad enough they charge you per minute and show the duration rounded up.

I found they were charging me for calls that did not connect. If they had shown an accurate duration I would have been able to see.

I guess I will flip back to Plusnet when my contract expires and then back to them a year later as a new customer at half price.

Call prices

We're always improving our service, and to do that from time to time we have to put our prices up a little.

  • Totally Unlimited Broadband. Be online as much as you like. No limits, no extra costs.
  • A faster and more reliable connection. We’ve already upgraded the broadband in thousands of TalkTalk homes, and we’re still doing more.
  • Super powered Fibre Broadband. Over a million homes can get our faster fibre broadband. So you can do more online, all at the same time.
  • Britain’s safest connection. Our HomeSafe™ protection comes as part of the package. We help stop viruses before they get anywhere near your home, and protect your children from inappropriate content.
Call connection and call rate increases effective from 1st October 2013:
  • Call connection fee will increase to 15p
  • UK Daytime rate will increase to 9p per minute
  • UK Mobile Day rate will increase to 12p per minute
  • UK Mobile Evening rate will increase to 12p per minute
  • From 12th November some non geographic prices are changing - G number range and DQ number increase click to see full details
Any percentage discounts will be honoured at the new rates communicated on this web page until the offer or discount expires. Any specific amount discounts (e.g. £0.50 off a month) will be honoured until the offer or discount expires.
If you're in contract and the changes significantly impact your bill, you have the right to cancel your contract without penalty within 30 days of receiving your price change notification.
Thanks, don't you just hate people with sigs !

Yes. It doesn't matter if you joined yesterday-it is not a fixed price contract, so they can increase prices at any time.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
