You can't buy it anywhere other than from VM. Well that's not 100% true - they do turn up on auctions sites sometimes but VM will only activate equipmenton their network which they supplied themselves.

Why do you want a Superhub?
What VM package are you on and what are you paying?

If your existing modem/router fails, they will replace it with a Superhub at no cost to you, without changing your contract - well they should anyway, but they still managed to screw up my contract when they did mine. Got it sorted in the end with a discount of more than they'd increased my contract by. Any chance yours looks like it's developing a fault...? :)
If you want it for WiFi, it works, sort of. Certainly wouldn't pay good money for one, just buy a decent wireless router and connect it up to your existing VM supplied kit.

I got a new SH2 free of charge.
The older one's wireless wasn't very good.

Is it better with the SH2? The range of the wireless on my "original" Superhub is pretty awful, but from what I read they're all like that. Might see if a complaint to VM about it gets me a new one.

SH 1 is free if you ask, & dont let them swing the "New contract" bit.
Prowla, how did you get SH2 free? was it a lot of hassle? I was quoted £40.

I raised a support call about something else and they offered it to me.
