Nationwide - PPI included in the interest rate?

Options
Just had a call from a claim company about PPI (again)...
Told them - never had PPI
They said because I had. because ..
I had a Nationwide mortgage for a few years (now paid off).
(We had a meeting with an adviser about PPI...they wouldn't give it to me (health issues) but did for my partner - for a very small amount and actually then we cancelled it after less than a year ... )
The claim company said Nationwide fixed the interest rates to include PPI - and therefore I had been mis sold...
I'm a bit dubious about this ...surely if I agreed to take the mortgage out at an agreed interest rate - and it was the best deal for us at the time ... there can't really be an issue?
Am I wrong? Is this some kind of scam?

Claims companies have been obtaining land registry details (which are public domain) and cold calling people with mortgages. They believe that more people are likely to fall for their lies if the claims company knows the lender. However, your insurance products are not in the public domain. So, any comment on insurance is just made up lies.

No they didnt. That is a lie.

    you are right.

Yes. It is a scam. A fairly well known one (for those that follow these things).

The people doing these cold calls are on commissions to get people signed up.

    Thanks for that ...
Honestly I would feel it was morally wrong to try and claim money back if that was the case anyway -
I agreed to borrow the money at the rate the bank was charging - and that rate was a competitive one anyway ...
Even speaking to them I was a bit stupid - told them I was on the TPS but they said I'd done a survey...so I entered into a conversation to tell them they had been misinformed by whoever sold them my details ...
I could have done a survey ...fed up with nuisance calls - in desperation occasionally I do 'do' them ...thinking that if they can't sell my details etc it might make them leave me alone
So my kitchen is 6 months old, my double glazing and (non-existent) conservatory are 18 months, my bathroom a year, household appliances less than a year , I won't give to any charity, no accidents ever, etc etc etc...;)
But then I guess that lays me open to this nonsense instead...
