Progressive Credit Limited T/a Aqua Card

I regularly check my credit file. I like to see where I am and what going on.

I use Noddle, its free and easy to use.

When I checked this month's report, there was an entry showing for Progressive Credit Limited, I panicked as the account was showing as open since June this year at my old address.

I googled them and it transpires its Aqua Card. My aqua card was cleared in full and paid off in 2010. The only excuse they have is that their computer system has bee revamped and my card must not have been closed down properly in the past.

I checked my husband's Noddle and his Aqua had reappeared also...

I've rang and made a formal complaint about this and they've told me they'll "try" and have it removed.

What do I need to do to force their hand? I need this off my credit file asap. Since it went on, I've dropped a Noddle point.:mad:

TIA
Ever feel like you take 2 steps forward and 8 back?

One day, I will be debt free!

Hi, yes they should update it to show the account is 'settled' even settled accounts remain on your credit files for 6 years. It will not do any harm showing as settled as you paid it up in full. Don't worry over the Noddle score it's not that accurate!
  • That's the problem, its not showing that its a settled account. It's very much a live account.

I've had the exact same problem. Aqua account closed in 2010 with no issues and was showing as settled across all 3 credit reports. My Noddle account updated on the 5th of this month and all was fine and then checked on the 8th to find this. I've sent them an email, will have to wait and see how they fix this. The annoying thing is not knowing whether this will also be showing on Experian/Equifax files and having to pay for the privilege again to check.

I am having the same issue my account has randomly re-appeared on my account as an open account when I closed it over 2 years ago.

Does anyone know how to deal with this issue?

Anyone had any joy with Aqua?

    Thanks

I checked my Noddle report this morning as it had been updated, the entry for Progressive Credit Limited has been removed from my active account section, and also from the closed account section. They've removed the entry as if I never had an Aqua card period!

Still waiting on Experian/Equifax to see if it appeared on there as well.

  • Closed my aqua cards 6 months ago and my account has also magically reopened as of last month.

I called Aqua as soon as I got my Equifax file to complain and was told that it was a known fault on their side having something or other to do with some fraud activity on the account yet it was a fault on their side.

They said that it will be removed at the end of the month when their batch of accounts are sent to Equifax.

No only did my old Aqua account magically reopen, but another totally new account with the same Aqua detail appeared as well so that was 2 things that had to be re-addressed.
  • closed my aqua card a few months bank will check mid week on experian
