Electric only heating and hot water

I'm hoping to convert a 1 bedroom house to 2 by moving the hot water tank and re configure the layout of the house. I have been considering an electric boiler in place of my immersion and storage heaters. Since I moved in 3 years ago I have insulated the loft had double glazing and doors fitted just looking for a better option as oil and gas is not a no go.
Thinking that 2 storage heater and an immersion on 7 hours a night at 12 p kwh or whatever eco7 is vs a combi electric boiler 14kw on a single rate electric say 14p kwh for a couple hours a day or as required. Not sure on running time, costs or reasonable alternatives. Bills are high and space is a premium.
Choices seem to be sit pretty on e7 or update
Swap out heaters for smart electric rads
Plumb in a lpg (tanks may be an issue) or electric boiler and heating system
Or green air source but not sure external unit will be accepted
I wanna do the work as I can't afford to sell and I'm in a shared ownership house with a little one

What's the question?
If it is shared ownership, do you need the permission of the housing association to undertake major works?
Not sure your prices are very accurate. But, yes, for a small property and with the higher price of gas and requirement for boiler servicing, electricity can work out cheaper.0 -
First hurdle is what does you other share partner say?

Re-check your prices - E7 electricity is around 6p/kwh vs. 12-13p/kwh normal rate.
Standard (resistive) electric heating at normal/peak rates is an expensive route, have you considered air-source, or ground source heat pumps? As they're pumping heat rather than creating it you get more heat out than you put in, typically they have a co-efficient of performance (CoP) of 3 or more - so 3 units of heat out, for each unit of electricity in, compared to a standard heater/boiler which has a CoP of 1.0 -
Why exactly do you want to install a system that will triple your hot water and heating bills, by removing E7?No free lunch, and no free laptop

Well what's better I can't have gas or oil so limited to lpg or electric.
And no I don't wanna triple my bills but I would like some control on my heating. I can't find compatible information on alternative heating.
I could replace my storage heater for electric smart heaters
I could stick with storage heater or update
I could plumb in central heating but lpg or electric
Air source and ground source at meg gar expensive as far as I'm aware
And my shared owner is housing association and they say I can make improvements as I see fit providing its compliant and signed off as necessary
Sorry I don't know how to quote you guys thanks for your responses0 -
There is no such thing as electric 'smart' heaters.
Any all electric system that does not use E7 will triple your bills.
LPG is probably the cheapest option (but still the most expensive except for all-electric).
Personally I'd update the storage heaters to give more control. No free lunch, and no free laptop

What about a smart storage heater?I could replace my storage heater for electric smart heaters
I could stick with storage heater or update

is there nothing cheaper to heat a home and hot water than storage heaters in areas without gas. excluding air ground and solar as they cost is astronomical.
surely an electric boiler is cheaper on a single rate tarrif0 -

How exactly? All your usage would be on standard rate: about 12p per kWh as opposed to about 4p per kWh on E7 cheap rate for storage heaters and hot water. No free lunch, and no free laptop
