Going to Majorca soon and need my elderly mother to have my mobile number while away so she can contact me, am I correct that I tell her to put 0034 before my mobile number. I know in the past when I have been on holiday she has just rung my mobile number without a code and she has been unable to get through.

No, she just has to dial your number as if you were in the UK.

If she couldn't get through in the past then it is likely that your phone contract is not set to work abraod. You need to check what your contract allows roaming and get it changed accordingly.

Just remember that the cost to your mother will be as if she was phoning you in the UK but you will also incur a charge per minute for the call being routed abroad.

You would be better setting her up with one of those numbers that give you 1p a minute to mobiles and you can program the no in.

A good tip is load ALL your UK numbers with +44 in front. The numbers will work all over the world wherever you or your phone will be.
There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.

I have n't got a contract I just put £10 a month on and get free texts and that way the money mounts up for when I do have to make phone calls. Do I still have to alter my mobile to get calls from her.

As others have said she just needs to phone your mobile number as usual.

Don't forget however - it will cost you money to receive the call - so make sure you have enough credit.

Thanks yes, I've already topped up. Maybe in the past she's pressed a wrong number by mistake. She hates me going on holiday so I've had to promise to ring her every day.
