Coupon Embarrassment

I don't think I've ever heard anyone in the queue behind me moan about me using coupons. Maybe I just live in a polite part of the country?
Or maybe I've just got good coupon karma. If I've got say a £5 off £25 coupon and know I'm not going to use it before it expires, I'll look round for someone with a big enough shop and give the coupon to them. Folk do look surprised but no-one ever refuses.Val.0 -
I've had a couple of moaners behind me and it used to embarrass me but not any more. I tend to shop online a lot now and it annoys me that some coupons etc can't be used online (usually the ones that are on the product packaging itself and can be redeemed against your next purchase) but I do have a local sainsburys and tesco so if I have a money off coupon like that I tend to drop that item from my online shop and nip down to buy it in person. I kept a tally lasy year of all the money I haved from coupons. It started as a playful row with my OH who thought the savings I got weren't worth the hassle. When I showed him the total over the year was around £325 he soon shut up and even occasionally uses them himself now!Everyone has a dark side... apparently mine is called Harold?!? :huh:0

One son enjoys using coupons & helps me get the right things to score the points/discounts. (He did rather well on Reeces Pieces that trip.)
I've had the "We don't take photocopied coupons" issue - since my printer alo copies & scans, all I do is smile, apologise to any onlookers & take my business elsewhere. (Along with the free coffee!) I'll try a politely worded email...
I've handed on coupons for things I won't use. Stunned one mother of three, getting a fiver off nappies chit, but from each according to their ability!0 -
Firstly I Love using coupons I esp love saving up my tesimos for xmas so it works out that xmas dinner inc turkey is free!
But as I work for said supermarket I can say that they have their own fraud dept checking what cashiers are processing eg they will get mgrs to investigate large no.s of green points, large no.s of manually processed coupons, etc, etc. Honestly this is true!
Also we once found a cust bringing in a large number of receipts for points to be added on, it turned out they were picking them up outside and rifling through our bin! Yes unacceptable they had the card cancelled and barred from the brand!!!!
Yes they accept you forget your card sometimes but big bro is watching!!! they know if your card is swiped or points added later!!0
