withdrawl - ARN number

Hi in early July I withdrew somw winnings from my Paddypower account (this should only take 2-3 days) to my debit card... almost a month later they money is still not in my account. I contacted Paddypower about a week after the money failed to show.
Paddypower sent me an ARN number but Halifax say they cant use this and as paddypower sent the money they should be able to track it (makes sense to me).
Anyway I have been into my local brach and on the phone to halifax and asked them if the money would possibly be in a rejection fund or suspense account, but they said they could see nothing of the sort.
Sent another email to paddypower asking them to find the money.
Any advice from anyone?
Thanks

PaddyPower are responsible. It is up to them to ensure the refund gets to you.urs sinserly,

While I wouldn't normally disagree with JJ, in this case I don't think PaddyPower are necessarily fully responsible. You say that the withdrawal was to your debit card, so presumably at some point you had to enter the card number. Was the card already registered (for instance so that you could fund your PP account) or did you have to enter the number specifically for the withdrawal? If it's the latter then are you able to confirm that the number was entered correctly? PP are reliant on you entering the right number; if you got it wrong and it happened to still be a valid number then it could be in somebody else's account.0

At most bookies your withdrawals get processed to exactly the method you deposited with (for money laundering reasons if nothing else), and I don't think Paddypower are any exception. You don't have to enter any card or account details, you just ask to withdraw and if the withdrawal is successful, the money arrives the other end within a short period of time (hours in the case of Paddypower). Neither you nor Paddypower have to enter any numbers.
Also, Paddypower are renowned for fast and correct payouts, and from what I know, their CS are also valued in the gambling community.
The OP's account of what happened isn't entirely logical - - - an ARN is usually only used with credit cards, whilst the OP said they had used a debit card. May be they used a credit card, and the money was credited to their credit card, rather
than to their debit card?0 -
Go back to Halifax and ask to talk to the disputes/fraud team.
They will be able to check the Visa Resolve Online system (VROL) to see it PP are telling the truth, about the Acquirer Reference Number (ARN) This lists ALL transactions through the Visa system so it will show in there. Will also give a reason if it failed in the visa system.
Only reason it would go to a internal account would be if your card have been stopped.
These tend to be worked within a few days.Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -

ARN's are used on DEBIT cards..... ALL the time.
Acquirer Reference Number is a unique transaction reference number.
That give you not only who the Acquirer bank is (2-7), but also the date the transaction was processed (9-10-11).Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -
The card is registered to my account... like a previous poster mentioned you just ask for it to be withdrwan and the money should get to your account ASAP.
So I didn't need to type in any sort or account numbers... so no typos on my part.
PP have just got back to me and telling me to go back to Halifx
Guess I try the 'Visa Resolve Online system (VROL)' method suggested by dalesrider
Thanks for the help/ suggestions :money:0 -
Hi There
I just wondered how or if you got this sorted. I am having the same painfully frustrating issue with Coral and SkyBet. Both say they have released the funds and given me an ARN Number which the bank have not been able to accept due to their being no funds pending. Im in fear of going grey if I don't get thus sorted soon0 -

Either quote them correctly or explain your understanding of this.0
