nerf, my DD2 had problems with her Wickes order. She ordered a replacement window and set of casement doors which she had booked a fitter for, Wickes let her down twice. It was actually the supplier who let Wickes down. When they were delivered, 10 days late, some of the fittings were missing (handles etc). This meant her bf had to drive 40+ miles to pick up fittings from another store as they had a set of damaged doors in stock so had spare handles and took them from that.

She waited until the doors and window were actually fitted and rang and spoke to the manager. Said she had seen some tiles for her bathroom she liked and what compo would he offer her. She was very polite and nice about it and couldn't believe it when he offered her £200 in Wickes vouchers. She was well happy as the vouchers went a long way to finishing off her bathroom.

Hope you get on ok :)

    Thanks for this happy :T:T
I'm about to phone them and find out what's going on:eek::eek:

I'm so rubbish at complaining!!! I used my £8 pp at mr t yesterday to stock up on baby food etc (which has been a great help so thank you all so so much!!)
Anyway at the checkout we had to wait for a manager to check my MOCs which was fine however the checkout girl decided to tell me how f*****g s**t the managers were so obviously I made a complaint to head office online last night!
Got a phone call this morning full of apologies and I was kind of hoping for some vouchers - she said ill see what I can do ill call you back! Well I missed the call as I was busy and se left a voicemail to say you already have £38 club card vouchers and told me about club card boost - that's it!!!! :-(
I really wish I'd picked up now I feel like I've been ripped off!!

You didnt lose anything though. If they'd refused to take your vouchers, or overcharged you and then refused you dtd then maybe fair enough but you still got an apology and the SA is going to get a massive telling off, but I don't think it's compensation-able

    How were you ripped off?

  • Yea, but you haven't as you've lost nothing ;) But you did get a very honest viewpoint from a staff member on the T management team and that's priceless ;)

Haha true! I guess we've ripped them off enough to let them have this one ;)

I know I haven't been ripped off its just I know people who have got vouchers for complaining about far less - especially when my young daughter was with me at the checkout that's all

Mhoc sorry to here your dads so down, can't help really, depression is such a hard illness to cope with as it's cause can be so personel, maybe if you could get him to open up about whats troubling him or what has triggered this feelings.Remember that there is no rule that says you need to feel or think in a particular way just do what you feel is right for him and you.

He has taken to his bed and is refusing to get up at all. This is the 2nd week now, this week he wouldn't even talk to me so I was hardly there 20 minites - 70 mile round trip for me. Both my sisters went on Friday and it was no better. He really upset the youngest one - told her he was dying. He does have a sore on his foot which is better treated and dressed and pain killers but telling him that no one ever died of a sore foot is hopeless. I think he is determined to get admitted into hospital but again telling him that no one would ever be admitted to hospital with a sore foot falls on deaf ears.
Thursday morning he was lying flat on his back in his room, breakfast untouched, tea stone cold, juice not drunk, 11 in the morning. He said he could not eat because he had a stomach thing and there was no reasoning with him.
