  • Congrats :j:j you broke the habit, the experts say it takes three months to break the habit. It has not worked for me yet:(:(
I have a drawer full of electronic cigs, the ones that look like cigs and the vapours even chewing gum and mints. I am beginning to think its all in the mind, if you want to give up you do, if you do not really want to , you don't
I am trying the cutting down route, which is working for me at the moment, gone from 40 a day down to 10 a day, I wish I never started :eek:

Keep going VC. Thats the way I did it 15 years ago. Not had one since and have only rarely been tempted.

Trouble is I am now addicted to mints and don't go anywhere without them :(

I tried this today. Item on both A & S's website so thought I'd give it a go. S v A Oral B Pro-Expert Pulsar Medium Compact 35 Toothbrush £5.00 or 2 4 £3 in A, £6 each in S. Add fillers of S own stuff up to £20 which dnc and collect a nice £9 BM. HTH By the way, I bought 3 x 1.7kg+ chickens today. Came back on apg as comparing to S, despite having the sensitive deo on there. Flying visit cos I'm having an early night. N x

Quoted a post savvy made that comment on but it doesn't show. Its the jelly beans, they are£1.88 but compare, if you buy 3, to £2 in M's. So you pay less for 3 than 1.

They are lots of 'hanging bag' sweets on 3 for £2 in M which, although their weights are lower than Mr Ts, compare best - in theory anyway - on the APG vs M now that T's offer has changed to something more expensive per bag.

You don't actually pay less for 3 - as you're then having to pay for 2 more, but it is less per bag as it's using the mbuy.

This is all if the APG picks up the mbuys. I suspect it will be a little bit safer (but perhaps not much) if you stick to one particular type of comparable sweet (e.g. in this case, the Gourmet Jelly Beans comparing vs M's Jelly Beans) - the trouble if you mix and match vs M is that (a) they have to have scanned, in their price collection exercise, all the versions you bought; and (b) they have to have picked up the mbuy offer and identified and linked it with all the other sweet bags you bought so that it compares vs 3 for £2 and doesn't glitch against us. Such as the Hartley's tablet jellies are doing again:( - it seems M mbuy picked up this time on Raspberry and Strawberry, but put others in and immediately the whole lot return at full price for M:(:( as they haven't picked up the M mbuy that they're part of. We want that to be picked up here.

Righto - the bagged sweets are my 'special project' one as they are lots of them in the 3 for £2 (despite the risk indicated above for the APG), they are sometimes slightly different sizes to As and not all the same size in M, so lots of price adjustments based on weight are needing to be done (that may also be a problem for the APG if you are mixing different ones and different adjustments together and apportionments etc.).

Details I'll (eventually) report will have to be estimates though - I will give them as if you'd bought all 3 bags the same (and assuming that the APG turns out to have worked correctly) as there are so many different permutations and possible combinations requiring various weight adjustments overall that it'd be unduly time-consuming to go into that depth (and, more the point, would take my time away from wider, more useful stuff for me and you, such as the items needed for other comparison lists).

Nonetheless... I've decided I'm hopeless at prioritisations though. (Whether or not I am, let's pretend I am for the purposes of this...).

I'll let you, this time, folks, help me decide where I should go next. Should I, at this point, now go and do the bagged sweets working out? (Getting the ones that M has and seeing which are available from A and, in default, T - and within 10% weight range adjustment etc.) Or do you want me to do Tvs A?

Or Tvs S update? Or maybe you think a BM list or two is overdue from me?
Or do you want me to attempt a fuller Avs T or Avs S? Or something else (which you'll specify of course, rather than leaving me guessing as to what it might be;):rotfl:).

I'll let you post away and I'll read and decide soon. If you're in Northern Ireland, I'll give more weight to your votes (subject to any legislation being pointed out to me which prevents me from doing so - it's not based on ethnicity but may be residence - bring out your EU directives England Wales Scotland & anywhere else!:rotfl::rotfl:). I don't know that I'm not allowed so I'll proceed... the plan is that I'll apportion N.Ireland votes so that your votes count as if the population of N Ireland was the same as the population of the rest of the UK put together. Just because I know you're being left out a bit - and would like to put this right some bit!

It's a bit like Eurovision I suppose - no law preventing Cyprus voting for Greece - so I think I'll vote for N Ireland to have more of a 'voice'.

    Please make your suggestions!:):)
    TIA.

[It's not a formal thing, just a bit of a taking account of your suggestions.... and choosing, at my whim, to pay more attention to those coming from those based in N Ireland.]

Which list do you want folks? Or should I go through all the bagged sweets for the 3 for £2 first, and then possibly another list (and then which one???) later.

Last Weekend we finally ran out of pouches of cat food so I bought the big 44 sachet Felix as part of an APG shop and I also had 12 Whiskas from Tesco as I had a points vouchers.
So that's 56 sachets which we will run out of tommorow 9 days - £13 roughly for 3 cats. So very roughly £50 a month for wet food and probably another £5 for dry
We had a stock pile for about 18 months so I never realised how much cat food we actually go through. Mind you if we were destitute tommorow the cats would still get fed and we"d live on beans :rotfl:
Now I've done this sum I think I need to add them to the budget list - always try to keep it accurate.

I got 3 more of the 44 Felix using my APGs but now I know a box only lasts a week I think I need to get some more before there is a price change
    :o

    :j Yey! Saw it!
I was getting convinced that they turned the lights out every time they passed my house! It seemed so much bigger and brighter than last time I saw it, and it is still semi-daylight, which made it even more special!! Thanks for the reminder Zippt
