    Morning everyone,

Have a question for you all. I've moved ds who's almost 3 in a few months to a single bed. We bought it off ebay and came with mattress, we need to replace mattress. So do we go buy an expensive one from johnlewis for about £250. Or a cheaper one? I'm confused.

I know they still can wet the bed, what does everyone do. Do you buy one to ast 8 years, or do u buy one for a few years and the upgrade to an expensive one? Lady in John Lewis also suggested mattress topper.. So it sure what to do. Advise please mummies and daddies.
If you buy a reasonably good one it should be really comfy which in turn means your ds should be happy to get in it & sleep well. That's the theory anyway! I bought good ones for my dd & ds & they both loved their beds. My dd bought my 4 yr old grandson a good mattress & he loves his bed. He's 8 now. I'd look for a pocket sprung one if you can. Memory foam are lovely but make you really hot.

Hi peeps, been skimming for the the 5 days. We lost our baby dog, 12 years old on sunday. Hit my wife so hard as we couldn't have kids so this was her baby. Hit me too, just didn't realise how much she meant to me as well. Sorry, don't mean to be a downer. Speak soon. :)

So sorry to hear this scamps. They really do become part of the family, you have lost a child and it will naturally be very hard, I still remember when, as an 11 year old child, we lost my first dog. One of the teachers at school told me not to be so silly (I was crying my eyes out)it was only a dog. There is no such thing as only a dog, they are a beloved part of the family, like any other relative you have to grieve for your dog.
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
