I got this email earlier. Thought it might be of use for anyone else who didn't register their shell fuel card:Dear AA Uone,
Thank you for participating in our recent offer to buy £20 worth of Fuel for £10 through the Shell Drivers' Club points scheme. I wanted to personally write to you to make you aware of when you will receive your vouchers.
The Shell Drivers' Club statement process which sends the vouchers, occurs every quarter in February, May, August and November. As long as you registered your personal details to the Shell Drivers' Club card sent to you by Mighty Deals by the end of June, you will receive your vouchers in the August statement.
We originally stated on the deal terms the voucher would be despatched within 6 weeks from the 30th June. We are however now expecting these to be sent out to all customers from Monday 26th August. We would like to take this opportunity to apologise for the delay in sending out the vouchers. As this is done in batches it can take a few weeks, so I would expect at the very latest you will receive your vouchers by Friday 13th September.
If you did not register the card, then we will honour this for you and extend the period. Providing you register before the end of September, then we can send the vouchers to you at the end of November / early December. Please note we are unable to redeem points out of this cycle.
We do have a call centre for the Shell Drivers' Club, in the unlikely event you have not received your vouchers by the 13th September and you did register the card, then please contact us at https://www.shell.co.uk/driversclub or alternatively on 08459 006 009.Apparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -

Hi all,
Rare 5 minutes peace for me. OH has gone back to work and is on the verge of quitting. I don't blame him as they take the pee out of him, but hope he doesn't.
I am in my usual state of trying to catch up with everything on here and as daft as it may seem, I would also like to say that I don't know where I would be without this thread and all who contribute and not just for the bargains.
I am usually lurking and would love to post more, but everything is so busy for me at the moment, I am lucky just to catch up.
I feel sad when I read the terrible way you are treated by your family rose and selfishly sad for myself too, sorry. I wish I had a mum that cared, or sisters that knew how to pick up the phone and not just at xmas or birthdays, and it's not just that everyone is busy..because I am busy yet I am always the one that makes that phone call.
I also used to be able to rely on my brother to help me out.
Sorry guys this is turning into a moaning post about families.
Lets just say that I have no one to ask for help and despite that, I am stocking up on baby food for my brothers kids, I am trying to organize a day out with my sisters and their kids, so we can all see each other. I am working 6 nights a week, with my OH working 2 jobs. I am learning to drive with test in Sept and the only people I feel that would really care are virtual. I am so glad you are all here and grateful that I do have my lovely OH and 2 beautiful girls.
I just need some caring surrogate grandparents for them.0 -

Evening all.:D
Just had a quick skim to catch up.
VT, thank you so much, you know why;):D.
Quiet day for me today, spent mostly lying down. I tripped over the hosepipe yesterday evening and went a over t. I landed on my tailbone, wrenching my groin in the process and jarring my already wonky shoulder. Had a hot shower and took painkillers/anti inflammatories to little avail. I woke up every hour through the night, was up by 0400 wide awake and in more pain than I was last night. I'm only in less pain laying on my right side, and then only for an hour max, then it's up to hobble about.
An enforced nsd for me, and I'm peeved cos I have mocs burning a hole in my coupon wallet:rotfl:
DS1 and his GF are viewing flats to rent tonight, planning to move out soon. Their budget for groceries is not realistic, so looks as if I'll be doing their shopping too. They have been studying my stash with interest, no doubt earmarking things to take with them.
Hope you are all well and happy. Noticed floflo is off on her hols. Have a lovely time, and that goes for anyone else going away too.
Rose, you look after your mum, so don't let your family dictate what is to happen. Will they help out once she's home? From what you've said the answer would be no, so you know what to tell them to do. You've got a lot on your plate, so don't let them interfere.
Fairclaire, love the tales about your DS. It must be hard at times coping with everything, but you seem to be a lovely mum.
Love reading Savvy's posts. It's nice to see him relax more in his posting style, and joking with the cheeky night crew.
Zippy, elsie and neosi thanks for the iss info. Still haven't seen it yet as lots of cloud, and on the clear nights I was either working or missed it:(
I enjoyed the baby stories, took me back to when my boys were little.
See you later

One of my dearest friends has been embarking on IVF/getting pregnant for the last 6 years. She's had 3 failed attempts and the last one worked, only for it to be ectopic. She didn't know if she'd be able to do it again but has. And she is now 15 weeks pregnant................
