After a few small test purchases I did this :o
    1. I bought £200 mr Shoes giftcards in Argus for £160
    2. using those £200 cards I bought 4x£50 prepaid Visas in Mr Shoes, (at an additional expense of £16, IIRC, to activate)
    3. then using those £200 visa cards and £10 cash I bought £280 Mr Shoes giftcards in Argus
    4. using those £280 giftcards (plus £20 cash) I bought 6x£50=£300 prepaid Visas in Mr Shoes, (which cost £24 to activate)
    5. then using those £300 visa cards I bought £400 Mr Shoes giftcards in Argus
    6. using those £400 giftcards to buy 8x£50=£400 prepaid Visas in Mr Shoes, (which cost £32 to activate)

So for £160 initial outlay, £30 cash spent along the way and £72 activation fees (cost of £262) I had £400 fully activated visas to spend wherever/whenever I wanted.

Thats not even considering the smaller amounts I started off with before I realised it would take forever to get anywhere with it

It was a pretty easy way to make money and effectively got us a Dyson for free :money:.

The visa activation fees were offset by the fact that most of the prepaid visas I ended up with were used to buy B&Q giftcards in Mr T for the bonus 150 points per £50 :rotfl:

Interesting. Do Argos have some kind of offer on?

Did you ever get trouted buying cards with cards?

    I have it as A see £10.54 spent v £5 spent in T, therefore £5.54 back PLUS 10% :o

They won't see £10.54 hun as the 11th jar is vs N/A so won't count :)
    They'll only see the 10 at £9.55
Under a quid for 12 jars is still fantastic though (and better than I can manage :j)
Now if only we could manage to get that APG up to £6!

    Saving for Xmas 2022= . . Amazon £55

I know halogen ovens have been discussed on here before - just to say they' re on at a very good price on Ideal World tv today, the programme is currently on. £44.99 plus postal and you can pay over 4 months, and they're the good ones with the hinged lid which is so much easier. They're brilliant.
    Hope is not a strategy.

Good shop at Tesco this morning.

Picked up my 'free' Quidco Phileas Fogg crisps and £2 is already showing in my account.

Bought 10 packs of the Jungle Dogs Hot Dogs with Real Food coupons.

Finally, threw in two of the travel-sized Sanex shower gels and used the coupon below to get both for £1.

Used a £10 PP expiring today, paid £2 cash which I've already got back through Quidco.

    50p off any Sanex product

I forgot to say welcome Argh, I did read your post a fair few pages back :)
:T thanx for this, am off up Ts this afternoon and had forgotten about the phileas fogg.

dipdap is right :) (sorry Tiger)

oh and when you were talking about taking a 10p hit (forgot who :o sorry) did you take into account the 10% off the T price because that evens thing out ;)

    I was :)
Unfortunately the 10p hit comes from the 11th jar if it compares because Ts price for individual jars is about 10p more than As, therefore it makes you lose 10p off the APG as the price is in As favour where as if it was N/A it wouldn't be in As favour.

ha, ha, yes I had seen it for the first time the night before!!

went in to Asda this morning to see if they had restocked the Galaxy and they had removed the reduced to 70p label and replaced it with one for £1.25.
Unfortunately the shelf was still empty so couldnt check what price it was going through at

My store last night had a £1.25 SEL but it said it was for a 125g bar and not the 114g that was sitting on the shelf :D

I pointed out to a muggle that it was going through the tills at 35p. He was most appreciative .....and bought ONE  :wall:

Tiger, I think your maths may be a bit wrong?

£4.55 difference for those jars + 10% makes it £5.05 and you paid £6 for all 12.
I think you've added the 99p N/A one into your APG calculations?
Someone correct me if I'm wrong please :)

    I agree with you

Never had that, always do web after being 'locked out' on app, had to call about something and as there were no usual APG items, just the glitches of that day, told them. Had to stop myself laughing when she went off with the receipt numbers and came back saying she used her asda email which she never uses to check and so knows its not over 10 and not letting her print them either. Kept thinking do not tell her to make up any old random email address :rotfl:

Did discover that if you use the app but after checking result press back not through for coupon you can print weeks later but if you press get voucher, even though you are not connected to printer and later print out it will be dated from the date you hit get voucher.

did you mean to say "app" here?

This is how the web version works ;)

Did you ever get trouted buying cards with cards?

    This was a valentines promo.

£40 spend on cards for £30
£20 spend on cards for £15

Other folks were buying Next cards at reduced price and paying off their Next credit account with them (i.e. all the things they bought in sale after xmas)

I was never trouted. There were no grounds for it really :D
