They aren't paracetamol, but Voltarol pain-eze (diclofenac) tablets are tiny and are available over the counter.
The Boots version is exactly the same but slightly cheaper.

Diclofenac isn't something to just take as a regular painkiller, regardless of how small and convenient it may be

I really can't advise this - it lessens the effectiveness of the tablet - capsules are made to dissolve very slowly in the stomach so the actual medication is absorbed by the intestine.

Anyone who can't swallow pills - I suggest using milk instead of water, the texture helps tablets slip down :)

I was going to suggest crushing A paracetomol in between 2 sppons and taking with a bit of jam. that's what my nan used to do with me. Depends on pain though, Paracetomol for bones, teeth headaces. muscles is ibuprofen
Unless you have any respitory problems then becareful with ibuprofen.
dicolfenic is an anti inflammatory not a pain killer. so wont do much good
it might not be much, but its better than a kick in the teeth:rotfl:

It depends what the capsules were for but some are designed not to dissolve until they get into the intestine because of potential damage to the stomach. The occasional one might be alright opened up but check that you're not building up problems for the future by doing this.

you can buy pill-cutters quite cheaply in Boots etc. You could then buy cheap pills and just chop them in half.

Somebody once told me to imagine the pill was a peanut (or your other favourite nut), which would be crushed by your teeth into smaller pieces, then you would normally swallow those pieces whole wouldn't you?
If you tell yourself you are swallowing a small piece of nut, you can train yourself to take a pill without even needing liquid to wash it down. It works and is immensely useful if you're stuck without liquid somewhere.

What eventually worked for me was to try to not think about what I was doing. If I was thinking about the fact I was trying to swallow a tablet it was as if my throat closed up and I couldn't do it at all. Instead, concentrate on something else whilst you're swallowing the tablet so that you aren't thinking about it being in your mouth/throat and trying to swallow it. I sing a song in my head while taking tablets, which forces me to only be thinking about the song and not the tablet going in my throat, and now I can swallow them. Now I can even take little tablets without anything to wash them down too.

Practicing with different sized sweets is a good idea as well.

Speak to a pharmacist, adults can take the calpol and nurofen (FYI the strawberry nurofen tastes better then calpol!)
