i do and have tried the nurofen meltlets which are good too but at £2.50+ for just 12 tabs ! wondering for cost effective-ness what would be best0 -
If you find a range of different sized sweets, and gradually work your way up - you can train yourself to be a much better swallower!
There is a bit of a marketing aspect to tablet sizes! People simply believe that with pain killers, a bit bigger tablet will be better than a small tablet! So if a manufacturer makes one too small, people simply wouldn't believe it is as effective as a bit bigger one, and sales would suffer!
I'm sure there must be a smallest one though, I just don't know which it is!How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0 -

Didn't know you could buy paracetamol liquid. Thought it was just for babies and small children. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Talk with the pharmacist - certainly prescription wise it would be codeine phosphate - they're tiny, about the same size as sweeteners. You can get dispersible or liquid ibuprofen or paracetamol. Don't be fooled by it normally being for "kids" but don't know how cost effective they would be for dosing for an adult.
Best speak to your local pharmacist, they're normally more than happy to sort things out for you xxx0 -
I have dispersible cocodamol, they are brilliant. You can get Solpadeine (brand name) or Boots do their own brand behind the pharmacy counter. If your supermarket has a pharmacy they may be even cheaper. Be careful with codeine though, it can be addictive. You can also get just paracetamol or aspirin in dispersible form. I find they actually work quicker than tablets.0

I have problems swallowing tablets and buy Superdrug Paracetomal Caplets, you get 16 in a pack for around 40p-50p, in a blue and white box, I find if I break one in half I can managed to swallow it.0

I saw a programme which touched on this and it said that bigger tablets work better than smaller ones, but teeeny ones work best of all. The programme was about most people getting some placebo effect from branded painkillers, tested by them taking a pill then putting their hands into iced water for as long as possible.
My pill-taking tip is to have a few mouthfuls of a drink, then take another mouthful, hold it in your mouth and drop the pill in. Swallow the whole lot then carry on drinking. It takes some practise but as Toothsmith says you can train yourself to be able to have larger ones.
As an aside: my OH had some 30mg codeine phosphate from the GP and they are the smallest pills I've ever seen! They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.

They aren't paracetamol, but Voltarol pain-eze (diclofenac) tablets are tiny and are available over the counter.0
