Broadband without a contract

Hi
I've just moved into a new flat and I'm looking for a broadband provider, ideally one that doesn't tie me in. Does such a deal exist? Thanks

Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending

yes you would need a mobile broadband dongle such as these http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Search/searchTerms/MOBILE+BROADBAND.htm0 -
I believe Plus.net do rolling 1 month contracts, other providers will probably be available
Costs more than a 12 month contract.0 -

Sorry I'm a bit behind with technology. What is the link to?Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending0 -
Many of the smaller companies offer 1 month broadband contracts but ADSL broadband needs a phone line as well which is often a 12 month contract.
I suggest you look at the likes of ADSL24,IDnet,Zen,Vivaciti who have broadband and phone available on monthly contracts.
Expect to pay £20+ for broadband depending on usage and £12-£20 line rental/calls.0 -
There is always a contract. One month minimum terms are available, but of course cost more.
It's more problematic finding a line rental package for less than 12m.No free lunch, and no free laptop

The company we apparently aren't allowed to discuss except in its own dedicated thread does no min. term contract for its phone line/unlimited BB deal. Unless you need a new line installing of course. £23.39/mth including obligatory £1.50/mth club fee.0

I think MillicentBystander is talking about this company where discussion is allowed in this thread only:

As one of the previous posters suggested PlusNet do unlimited broadband on the one month contract. £50 connection I think (which is your cancellation up front) and £14.99 a month. I was going to go for it initially, but instead took a chance on a longer contract with another provider. Whilst not necessarily long term the cheapest option, it was to my advantage in terms of upfront costs and eventually will become one month rolling. Or, I can upgrade to fibre optic when its available and that is an 18 month contract with most providers. Either way I would end up with a long contract. Became a non-issue then for me.Former MSE user - I don't post on MSE anymore, or respond to PMs. I would like to be able to officially set profile to "former user" which would be helpful as it seems you can never leave MSE - just choose not to use it!0 -
So, effectively over £19/mth should the OP actually get to the 12 months stage; any less and it's significantly more due to the £50 connection fee. Just for broadband? Yikes.0
